  5. I am guilty of some of that for sure. Schematically, I remain disappointed in what he has brought to the table, but great to see he is a much better recruiter than I thought he would be. I didn't know he had that in him. I still think he has it in him to coach the defense better than he has so far. I think this year, the Jimmys n Joes are goin to match up with the X and Os he and Miles have in mind As much as I loved Shields, and losing a scorer like White... I think this "team" is going to step it up and prove to be overall better. I think this year is going to be a big change of pace and we are going to see a lot more team oriented ball.
  6. For a guys that is 6'9 405 pound squat is nuts... Nice work on the lifting Jacobson!
  7. Everyone in the back row is except Jordy and the two on the end. Morrow isn't either
  8. Either Roby and Jacobson are 6'10 or Jordy is 6'10... Anyway I like the look of the team
  9. I am not saying anything negative or positive about this recruit, but he's got to have a better career then Arop or people are going to be PISSED!
  10. I like this too, but I see Horne either red-shirting or less than 5 a game. Also Morrow will see way more time than 4 minutes at the 4 spot
  11. Glynn Watson - 30 min, 11 ppg, 3 reb, 5 assist, 2 stealAnton Gill - 28 min, 15 ppg, 4 reb, 2 assist, 1 steal Jack McVeigh - 22 min, 11 ppg, 4 reb, 1 assist, 0 steal Michael Jacobson - 20 min, 6 ppg, 5 reb, 1 assist, 0 steal Jordy Tshimanga - 15 min, 5 ppg, 6 reb, 0 assist, 0 steal, 2 blocks Tai Webster - 25 min, 13 ppg, 5 reb, 3 assist, 2 steal Ed Morrow - 22 min, 8 ppg, 7 reb, 0 assist, 1 steal 2 blocks Isaiah Roby - 20 min, 6 ppg, 3 reb, 2 assist, 1 steal Evan Taylor - 8 min, 2 ppg, 1 reb, 1 assist, 1 steal Nick Fuller - 8 min, 1.6 ppg, 1 reb, 1 assist, 0 steal Remaining Players Horne - Redshirt Laws - 2 min, .4 ppg, 0 reb, 0 assist, 0 steal I believe we will see a lot more ball movement this year, because Roby can pass the rock too. I have a feeling that Roby and McVeigh may switch. Roby is a baller, and can do everything!
  12. Bear Jones/Ryan Anderson We could really use their 3 point shot right now!
  13. 1. I have a feeling this will be Anton Gill 2. Tia, Watson or if we a lucky Roby 3. McVeigh(Fingers Crossed) 4. Gill? 5. Tshimanga 6. Watson again
  14. Hard to disagree until Miles actually beats them. It's only one game but I think that's a pretty important one for him this year. Probably will be pretty close to a pick em at home. It's not even about the head to head matchup. Miles and McDermott have a weird history that kinda defies logic. I think when you get to the end of the season, it won't be nearly as obvious that CU has more talent than NU. Maybe not even by the time you get to conference play. And I think CU will be pretty good next year. On Paper Pretty even to be honest... I am going off of ESPN only for comparison, but Dirk Chatlain is an idiot, and all he is doing is stirring the pot Please note that Prior to 2012 the ratings were different so I will put an () on the recruits that were prior to 2012 Creighton Marcus Foster - 75 3* Kyrie Thomas - 78 3* Ronnie Harrell - 84 4* 71st overall Davian Mintz - NR Jordan Scurry - NR (Maurice Watson - 92 4* 92nd overall) Tyler Clement - NR (Cole Huff - 86 2*) Kaleb Joseph - 86 4* 50th overall Martin Krampelj - NR (Isaiah Zierden - 88 2*) Justin Patton - 80 4* Toby Hegner - 74 3* Zach Hanson - NR 4* = 4 3* = 3 2* = 2 NR = 5 Nebraska Tai Webster = 79 3* Anton Gill = 88 4* 48th overall Glynn Watson Jr. = 84 4* 73rd overall Jack McVeigh = NR Michael Jacobson = 70 3* Evan Taylor = 69 2* Malcom Laws = NR Nick Fuller = 79 3* Ed Morrow = 85 4* 53rd overall Jeriah Horne = NR James Palmer Jr. = 79 3* Isaiah Roby = 78 3* Jordy Tshimanga = 79 3* 4* = 3 3* = 6 2* = 1 NR = 3 Looking at talent on paper Nebraska has the edge... I don't know what Creighton's "NR" are like on other sites, but I'd be willing to bet none are rated higher than Jeriah Horne. Also 3 of Nebraska the six 3* star guys are 4* on other sites Jordy Tshimanga, James Palmer and Isaiah Roby. So if you want to say ESPN is not a good judge of talent and that is why Creighton looks weaker there... good luck looking better on other site who all have Nebraska recruits rated higher. The only thing Creighton has on Nebraska is Greg McDermott. Not saying he is a better coach "Overall" then Miles, but he definitely has a style that beats Miles head to head
  15. I don't understand why people overlook Andrew White as a shooter just because he's more than a statue in college. Not to discount these other guys but he hit 3s at a Marcus Perry-Cary Cochorn type rate but did so much more as a player. That is why I did not include him in the list. White has more to his game, and don't want him in that role of the "Spot up shooter". I was referring to guys that just spot up and shoot
  16. I was listening to Bahe yesterday and he was talking about how Nebraska never have spot up shooters. Basically hyping Creighton guys like Wragge, but it got me thinking! The last guy I can remember being deadly from behind the line was Conklin. Not saying we haven't had any good shooters, just none that were a huge threat Gallegos was good Anderson was good Jones was good We need a spot up shooter, that needs to be able to play defense and stand behind the arc and hit 3's. I know that is not Miles style, but I think we should incorporate that type of scheme into possible offensive change of pace I think he should now focus heavily on getting his shot back, and play behind the arc instead of inside. He could play some minutes at the 2 spot. When he signed I was so pumped we had a 6'7 lefty that could shoot coming in. I am still a little shocked we don't see him popping 3's left and right. I think that is more his game then what we have seen, and with us having a true post maybe he could play more in the 2 or 3 spot? Thoughts?
  17. We got ourselves a personality on the team. Reminds me of Barkley when he talks, or maybe even Big Easy from the Globetrotter. Listening to him got me pretty pumped up, he has a lot of confidence too! Sorry don't think the podcast is up yet guys
  18. It's up to 60 now. No AW III No Shavon Either :-(
  19. Start a new thread for Jordy I don't want the of 20 page curse to happen!!!
  20. If we don't get this kid I may give up hope at ever landing a Big Man... We are basically saying... Jordy you can come in and play in the Big 10... No literally, we have no one else with your skill set and there is not a school in the country that needs you more than we do. Do you also know that we have one of the best practice facilities, and also one of the the best arena's in the country that is almost always sold out? I guess I don't get what the F*** goes on in these kids heads. His opportunity here is ridiculous, and he's possibly going to pick Minnesota or Boston College? I'd get it if it were a big name like Louisville, Syracuse ect... but no Minnesota and Boston College
  21. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/womens-basketball/husker-signee-says-she-ll-probably-still-join-nu-after/article_a8cff820-a6e6-536c-9890-7cc2083f0fd3.html
  22. Shields Watson White Webster Morrow Jacobson Parker McVeigh Fuller Hammond Evelyn
  23. Wrong in so many ways!!! Talent is there... You saying Watson, White, Morrow, Shields don't have talent? We may be playing bad for multiple reasons, and Talent is not one of them 1. Shields getting injured changed the feel of the team 2. A team with an athletic Big man will kill us every time, and that has nothing to do with talent, it has to do with Height 3. We have 4 freshman playing significant minutes(See number 1)... These are not 1 and done freshman either 4. A team with no talent can't go on the road and win @ Michigan State with no Talent
  24. God I hope not but last nights loss was painful. The team just didn't look interested until the last 5 minutes or so. Is it the kids not getting ready or is the staff struggling to get them ready? They have looked interested in every game before Penn State. It had to have something to do with Shields return, He looked a step slow out there, even though he had a ton of points
