  1. I know... That one was Glynn Watson
  2. I think almost the exact opposite of this. I think we were waiting on getting a feel for Paschal, and if we have a good shot at landing him. I don't think it is a coincident that Max B. committed to Indiana the "Night" Paschal was in Lincoln all "Day". I think Miles knows more on the Paschal situation and informed Max that the scholarship was no longer available
  3. Agree, I have cross my fingers and toes. Me too, this kid would be a game changer. If he commits and everyone sticks around, 2016-17 Season would have five ESPN 100 players on it. That would be something that has not happened before. The late 80's early 90's had some stars, but what Miles has put together these last couple years has been jaw dropping amazing. If he could land this kid, I couldn't have drawn it up any better. Andrew White III Glynn Watson Ed Morrow Anton Gill "Paschal Chukwu" <-If he signs The previous two coaches would have maybe landed one of them. I'm going to go on a limb and say they couldn't of gotten Fuller, McVeigh and Webster either I'll go further out on the limb and say the previous two coaches would have not landed any of them. Those five would be a solid starting line up as well Glynn Watson - PG Anton Gill - SG Andrew White - SF Ed Morrow - PF Paschal Chukwu - C Man that looks good on paper 2016/17 PG - Glynn Watson, Bakari Evelyn, Tai Webster SG - Anton Gill, Tai Webster, Andrew White, Nick Fuller SF - Andrew White, Jack McVeigh, Nick Fuller, Isaiah Roby PF - Ed Morrow, Michael Jacobson, Jack McVeigh, Isaiah Roby C/PF - Paschal Chukwu, Jacob Hammond, Ed Morrow

  5. I just watched his videos for the first time.... ummm dear God is he real? That is the most athletic 7'2 guy I've ever seen, or at least most athletic 7'2 guy interested in us.
  6. I have talked to some people who have transferred their child out of Mount Michael because they felt it was poor academically. I've also talked to some Creighton Prep instructors personally and was not impressed. In Nebraska anyway, I'll take the public school over the private every day of the week. As a product of public schools, I will tell you that some of my teachers were awesome and others sucked badly. Horribly badly. I would imagine you get the same variation in private and parochial schools. The one that would be different would be Omaha Brownell-Talbot. With what those families pay for tuition, the faculty better all have graduate degrees from Harvard. I would be shocked -- SHOCKED -- if Elkhorn could match the educating going on at Brownell-Talbot. I would have to second this. Also Scutt has gotta be pretty damn good to for the money
  7. I may hate Creighton basketball, but there is no way Elkhorn is better that Creighton Prep/Marion or even Elkhorn Mount Michael
  8. I could handle the Morrow/Dickerson combo down low!!! We are going to be a freakish athletic team with or without Dickerson, but man would he be a nice addition!
  9. Are we talking about the "Big" here, or the new assistant coach?
  10. Bak Bak from Cal Deng Deng from Baylor There was a JoJo at KU, but that was his 1st name? I can think of 4 Bak Bak Duany Duany Deng Deng Longar Longar
  11. Tim Smallwood - Nebraska, Omaha
  12. OT: Is your name NU die hard, or Nudie Hard Sorry I had too
  13. Without attributing it either to coaching or recruiting I can tell you FWIW that Miles' teams at ND St and Colorado St became better than average shooting teams towards the end of his runs at each program. I get that. And it is why when Miles was hired that shooting was probably the last thing I thought might be an issue for his teams and this program under his watch. But I also think Miles quickly learned that a different level of athlete is required to play in the B1G. This isn't ND St or even CSU. Different league, different level of talent and different level of athlete needed to compete. I would imagine a guy like Fuller would have been a starter from day 1 at ND St. and either a starter or a major contributor as a freshman at CSU. But in the B1G, you need a certain level of athleticism, quickness, and strength to play defense at this level. Different cat. Different game. Requires different strategies. All I know is that it is unusual for players to significantly regress in their shooting percentages over the course of their college career. And it just seems odd to me that so many players on one team can all be such poor shooters. That is either a major recruiting deficiency or a systemic coaching issue. As of now, I believe it is mostly recruiting, but it is also possible that there are some coaching issues involved--whether changing shooting motions or focusing too much on defense, etc. Time will tell. But as I have said in a previous thread, ultimately, after years 4 and 5, it all falls back on Miles. If he has a bunch of players in year 5 that can't shoot, then that is either his failure of recruiting or failure of coaching. Either way, it is on him. On the other hand, if in year 5 he has a complete team that is productive on offense and defense and finishing in the top half or third of the conference and going to the dance, then it is all him and he deserves all the praise and credit that he will get. I really don't like this argument at all, and I hear it all the time. Trust me I believe it helps, but it is not the end all be all in basketball. Eric Piatkowski wasn't exactly blowing up my mind with athletic ability Nick Fuller and Bronson Koenig played on the same team and Fuller led the team in points. The problem lies into if the players buy into the system, because Miles "System" has always worked. Getting stronger does help, but it is irrelevant when it comes to technique Also just to prove to you how wrong that statement is, I have provide a link to back it up! http://dailythunder.com/2010/11/remember-that-one-time-kd-couldnt-bench-185-yeah-he-can-now/
  14. I think I like the Adidas better. They are more my style
  15. We need a big guy that can play right away next year. I would be okay with Hammond, Morrow, Jacobson(?) <- Reminds me of Stanhardinger and the Unknown Big. We need 3-4 players that can play down low. That makes it harder for teams to defend. If we only have 1-2 guys we will be pretty one dimentional
  16. Wrong... Penny Hardaways circa 1993-1994 Black and White stripes al the way to the sole of the shoe with the Blue Nike swoosh. I couldn't believe my mom bought me them for my birthday. We we poor and they were $110 back then.
  17. He is not a center. He's skinny and likes to shoot outside. He'd be strictly a swap for TP. TP or WP... If TP I'd take that any day of the week... WP I wouldn't be quite as happy
  18. I'm pretty sure Simmons is considered the "Best" by most sites
  19. Anything good or bad on this guy? I know we were pushing really hard for this guy, and then nothing? Are we officially off of his list now?
  20. My friend coached against him this year, and he put up 36 points. He got the majority of his points off of offensive rebounds. With that said my friends team won the game... final score was 42-39. I'm not saying anything against Akol's game, because the kid is amazing. He is just a one kid show at this point. I think we need to see what he does in an actual team environment before we start calling him the second coming. I'd still like it if he follows his brother though
  21. I see a lot of Blake Griffen in this kid
  22. GOT IT!!!! DAGGER!!!
  23. Yeah we need players like Morrow(Basically exactly what you are stating), but a team needs a "Big" for match up purposes. I'm not saying we need to be Kentucky, but balance sure would be nice!!!
  24. He isn't getting any time at LSU, and we could of used him early on this season!
  25. NUBBALL TMILES1 VAULTLV RUNZA65 SHMSHAM
