D'Jery Baptiste 2015 C -> Vandy -> UMass

So...you were fortunate enough to have looked away the last time we veered off into the kudzu patch! -
Below is a very complimentary article of Tia's play where his coach says among other things: "I put the kid in the team two years ago at just 17 because I feel I've got a good nose for players and he's a player," Vucinic said after the game. "He played on a high, high level tonight. Of course he's 19, he's going to go up and down a little bit, but he's a capable player, he's got the mentality for the game, and has also got the ability. "It's just a matter of time when he's going to get to a high level. He's a good kid as well, really enjoyable to have in the team." http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/basketball/10419713/Tall-Blacks-upset-Serbia-in-World-Cup-buildup

They have to stay warm on Saturdays during the fall season somehow. I don't think they need this in the fall...their Husker football gear works quite well!

Very nicely done...time consumming work and copyrighted too! Thank you

Here is a theory on this subject: nustudent is no longer a student (probably hasn't been for quite a while), so he no longer posts on this board or on Red Sea Scrolls under that name--but he still posts on both this board and Red Sea Scrolls under different names. Anyone know if this theory is anywhere close to accurate? Perhaps the gangling student has turned into a beautiful swan!

http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/20/expectations-have-changed-for-nebraska-after-surprise-run-to-2014-ncaa-tournament/ Husker expectations from NBC sports ends with: "If this current group of Huskers has their way, the group that’s also responsible for the program’s lone conference tournament title (1994) could have some company at the end of the 2014-15 season."

This sounds like great news to me! http://www.omaha.com/huskers/omaha-south-s-arop-expected-to-pick-nebraska/article_7c40bcaa-3cd6-5b47-89de-0b56c1164260.html Three people with strong ties to the Omaha basketball community told The World-Herald on Sunday night they expect the 6-foot-4, 180-pound wing to accept the scholarship that NU coach Tim Miles offered on July 13. If that happens, the 15-year-old would be the youngest player ever to commit to Nebraska for basketball, according to World-Herald research.

Perhaps, could you get me one of whatever you are having? -
Most hated team by state, Nebraskas is no surprise.
trickey replied to PimpMario's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I was thinking maybe Colorado. Wyoming disliking Ohio State is the most surprising to me. Have they played each other before? I am OK with anybody's reasons for hating the ohio state u! and texass for that matter! They must be good, level headed, reasonable people those Wyoming fans. -
Brandon Walters -> Middle Tennessee State
trickey replied to bball23's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Looks like he only played half the games. Not sure if he was injured, suspended, or something else http://stats.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2013-14/div1/players/brandonwalters48ar?view=gamelog You can find his game by game stats here...played in all until 12/14 then in none so it is not that he was a spot player. http://stats.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2013-14/div1/players/brandonwalters48ar?view=gamelog Interesting to note his team ended up forfeiting six games 2 - 0 early in the year...so they must have been playing somebody that was not eligible early on. -
He took his dad's old number...I would have been mildly surprised if he did anything else.

You ALWAYS want a post player if they are good enough!

Put yourself in his shoes for a moment. Other than us fans want to know now, why does he need to be in a hurry? Just because he is taking his time doesn't mean he is holding out for other offers. Maybe he just wants to make sure he is making the right decision. He may already know he wants to come to NU (or another school) but can't blame him for continuing to look at other schools if he wants to ensure he picks the best school for him. Lots of kids don't do that and thus why there are so many transfers every year. We are to the point where we should only want players that want to be here! If AW3 is convinced he should go somewhere else...he should. HERE...we have a culture growing! We want the players that want to be here while improving exponential rather than linearly... and so do other great programs. Most players will go elsewhere...and that is true for all great programs. If I could imagine me to be a lucky guy at a free wine tasting where 35 foxy women are drinking....and I am one of only a very small # of attractive guys... I would take my time...enjoy the process...while working behind the scenes to make my situation the BEST! Mature attitude in my view! TG we R finally attractive!

They just released the team and he made the final cut. The below articles indicate there is one more cut down to a 12 man squad after the team competes in the Three Nations Tournament in Seoul, South Korea, beginning on July 29 then they travel to China, Lithuania and Serbia in August. The final 12-member roster will be announced following the games in Serbia. I think he makes it but he benefits with the competition until then either way. In fact, if he was dropped, he would be back here sooner working with our team. http://nebraska.scout.com/2/1422723.html http://www.huskers.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=209599976

I was not at the show...BUT if Paul lead the crowd in "HUSKER POWER"...then I think we should have a new clip for the big timeouts late in a close game! Way better than Bon J.
