  1. I think this is a game from last year. I wanted to see his box scores and it looks like he hasn't played through 4 games. He must be injured or something? https://redravenathletics.com/sports/mbkb/2021-22/teams/coffeyvillecommunitycollege?view=lineup&r=0&pos=sh
  2. Oops. I stand corrected.

This may not be a fair comparison because one is a Sr, and the other is not. (I am heading off the Jr. comments!). To Miller's point, I will say Verge will do better in Hoiberg's offense than what he did at ASU, but the same can be said for Watson. Watson is more efficient from both a fg and 3pt fg %. Verge is the better FT shooter. Watson wins the assist to turnover margin. Verge has more assists per game but also more turnovers by a big margin. Everything else is fairly close one way or another. If they both were here, at this point I would have Watson starting as I think he values the ball better but Verge would be a fantastic guy off the bench. I think Verge is more of a threat athletically but Watson has the edge due to his efficiency and decisions. Verge as a Sr has a great chance to excel this year and could prove me wrong. He may be the better player in this offense and by conference play I could be swapping the two? It all depends upon if Verge makes sound decisions. I think both are great players. Hoiberg talks about making the simple plays which translates to efficiency.
  4. Just watched a Canyon game and Lloyd played the off guard, so now I am leaning more towards your take. What I do know is Lawrence is a shooter.
  5. Nebr 93 West Ill 63 10 non con wins 21 wins reg season
  6. The same thing happened to me last week and today, but what I learned is that the game actually buffers and you can reverse it to the begining.
  7. This should be a really good measuring stick. Win or lose, they will have lots of video to teach off of.
  8. I never said he was a true PG, but I do think he can serve in a point guard role as needed. Maybe I just should of said ball handler. I think a team should always have at least 3 ball handlers, and next years team will need ball handlers and I am counting on him to be one of them. I agree with you in that I think we will need to target another transfer point guard depending upon what happens with our current players. Lloyd is a good versatile guy who can fill that role or a wing role. It's nice to have that versatility.
  9. Lyold is important for next year as we have a lot of ball handlers leaving/potentially leaving.
  10. Welcome to future Husker Mr Lawrence. This gives us a shooting guard to go along with our big man(Keita), point guard(Llyod) and athletic wing (Dawson).
  11. Correct, Coody was on the call as well. I was disappointed with the video quality. For some reason it was really choppy. I didn't have this issue last spring when I did baseball. I hope they fix that as the video quality was 3rd rate.
  12. Lawrence had 20 points and 6 treys in this game. He is number 10 and you see 1 shot at the 28-29 second mark. The rest of the highlights are about 2 of his teammates. Looks like he is primarily a floor spacer type. Can't leave him alone. Here is video from his soph year when he was with Plainview. Number 10 in white
  13. What level of success will this year's team achieve?
  14. What day and time is the MBB call in show on Sports Nightly? I am thinking Mondays?
  15. Verge was a big pickup. I like the fact that Verge and Walker can be very effective in the pick&roll and then you can bring in Wil and do 5 out clear out to let Verge get downhill. 2 different ways of stressing the defense. I would measure his success by seeing most of his points come from layups with a good assist to turnover ratio from kickouts. On defense, his quickness will help with on the ball defense.
  16. Wow. Norm I think you pretty much said it. Your 3-3 with my reaction to Miller's news.
  17. I think this scouting report is spot on. https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/Article/Denim-Dawson-scouting-report-Nebraska-172874474/ I like his defensive potential. Maybe he can be a Larry Florence type.
  18. Awesome. Happy to see Mr Dawson on the Husker Bus. Motor+Athleticism plays well on defense and in space on offense. Guy can finish.
  19. Ha, you swished it on the 2nd shot. I figured a little flattery might go along way. Going to have to try reverse next time.
  20. I can't either. I hope we get a good post scrimmage breakdown thread from HHC posters on how the new players played. Any stats would be good. You guys are the greatest!
  21. Yah, I'm at the age stage where if I look at food I gain weight. Sigh. My metabolism is set at .0001.
  22. Interesting lineup with CJ at the 4. Got a lot of different options this year.
  23. That's the crux of it, isn't it? It's a measure of what damage Kofi can do on offense down low against Wil vs the value of opening up the post for our offense. Some of that depends upon Illinois's other players as you can help Wil with double downs. Kind of hard to say which will work best without actually testing it real time. Good to have options. In the video clip it looks like he is starting to put on weight in the shoulders and chest. Doesn't look as thin. Happy to see that as some guys struggle to put on weight. To see it in his first year is a great sign!
