  1. I get that, but I still find it an odd comparison. I agree with you though in that I hope we can land Green.
  2. Scouting report https://kuzeykl-41267.medium.com/oleg-kojenets-scouting-report-f83937d9de6c Interesting take as it's all over the place, but I appreciate it nonetheless. Sounds like a guy to develop. So what would the difference be between this guy and Brady Heiman?
  3. Good point.
  4. I know I'm in a minority with this but I like bringing in a couple of players that are willing to sit and develop. I think this is good news for Green if he's willing to do that.
  5. Lakes gets a free year. Have no idea if it will be here or somewhere else. Either way Nebraska will have 4 spots open. https://nebraska.rivals.com/news/lakes-granted-free-year-won-t-impact-nu-s-scholarship-limit?yptr=yahoo?src=rss

  7. Additional background on Loensers. (If he's the guy) https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bulls/bulls-pick-2020-21-option-assistant-coach-nate-loensers-contract Loenser is well-liked and well-respected by players as varied as Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and Spencer Dinwiddie, and has developed a strong reputation for player development. Fred Hoiberg hired Loenser as video coordinator in 2015-16 and Loenser then served as head coach of the G League Windy City Bulls — where he coached Dinwiddie — in 2016-17. Dinwiddie consistently raved about Loenser. Hoiberg then moved Loenser to a behind-the-bench assistant coaching role for the Bulls in 2017-18. Jim Boylen moved Loenser to his current role as an on-bench assistant coach when he replaced Hoiberg in December 2018.
  8. There's lots to like about Fatt's game but he's not a high 3pt% guy. 23.5% this year. Previous year was decent at 35.7%. Decisions decisions.

  10. I think he's more of a Shavon Shields or Jeriah Horne type rather than a Roby?
  11. I mean I'm no good unless I get my pudding. Smart alec.
  12. I probably edit 80% of my posts. I can never get anything right the first time and I always feel like I am not communicating my point very well.
  13. Excellent news! 38% shooter from the arc. 23 minutes a game. 10 Webster, Kobe 27 5 627 23.2 78 204 .382 46 121 .380 17 26 .654 219 8.1 4 43 47 1.7 25 34 25 16 1
  14. Missing freethrows absolutely killed us.
  15. I think Omaha would be a good choice for Akol.
  16. I also am in the camp that I don't think Wilhelm is strong enough at this time to guard the 5 spot even as a 3rd option. I would rather see Lat guard the 5 as the 3rd option right now. I'd stick Wilhelm at the 4 and let him learn one position to start out with, one the he can handle physically. (With the extra 'ships they can get another big, besides a point and a wing. That would be my first choice)
  17. What are the odds he finishes at Bowling Green?
  18. I thought he might stick as he is friends with Bryce M. Best of luck to Mr Wood, I hope he finds a good spot.

  20. I was thinking 4 would leave but 3.5, 4.5 or 5 all sound plausible to me as I have no idea in this day and age. I wouldn't mind having some guys stick around but I also think they could improve the team with a pt, big & wing (In that order. ) Who knows.
  21. This season sure didn't turn out like I thought it would. Still if you squint just right, it's better than last year. The good thing is we got some guys coming back to blend with some good recruits and hopefully they get a few more good recruits...
  22. Given that we got out-rebounded 43-27 in the last game and Yvan and Stevenson didn't get any minutes and barely any minutes in the previous game, I'd say that's a pretty clear message that Hoiberg is not going to invest anymore time in those players. It's unfortunate but it is what it is. I would like to see all the players succeed but obviously the coaches don't believe there's enough progress there. We should start a poll. How many open scholarships will Nebraska have by the end of the month?
  23. I know Lakes only shot .333 this year but I think he will be much higher next year. I think he easily cracks the top 6 in 3pt %. Not sure how much playing time he will get though and how many shots he takes. Until we have a final roster, it's like spitting in the wind.
  24. His stat line for that game was 13-18 for FG's, 11-16 for treys, 2-2 for FT, 2 rebounds, 2assists, no turnovers 39 pts total. I know they don't play D in Juco but 11 for 16 from threeland is still quality shooting. The point about defense is a good question. I think the Cary Cochran comparison is fair.
