  4. Hope is a good thing. Toilet paper is also a good thing. Real life happens somewhere in the middle with various swings from time to time.
  5. Guys should start signing up today. Anyone know of any surprises good or bad? Seems like basketball signing period is dragged out a little more than some other sports.
  6. Golding accepted. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaabk/utep-set-to-offer-acus-golding-mens-basketball-coaching-job/ar-BB1fCAmZ Had to look up how Doc got his nickname. The story is that when he was little he wore a hat that was from Doc of Gunsmoke fame.
  7. Doc must not of liked the new behind the bench role. I would hate to see him go. Sounds like we will know soon.
  8. https://247sports.com/college/depaul/Article/DePaul-Inks-Five-for-2021-DePaul-Basketball-Recruiting-Signing-154945240/ From the above article: Edwards is a 6-8, 170-pound Small Forward from Pasadena, Texas. He is ranked 75th in the nation on the 247 Sports composite rankings and is regarded as a four star prospect for 2021. He is the 13th best small forward prospect in the country. 247 Sports national recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer compares Edwards to Milwaukee Bucks small forward Khris Middleton. “Has good length for a scoring wing,” said Meyer. “Body is getting stronger. Not overly athletic. Highly adept at getting his shot. Quality three-level scorer. Dangerous deep shooter who can make contested shots. Handles well and adequate passer. Not an overwhelming defender but has versatility. Will rebound his position. Shot making ability primarily gives him great value as a prospect.” Keon starred at Hillcrest Prep in Arizona as a junior, but will transfer to Legacy Early Prep in South Carolina for his senior season. ================================================================ Depaul lists him as 6-7 185. He played most of his career in Arizona but indicated he was going to play his last year in So. Car. I have no idea if that happened due to covid. From the above article:
  9. Agree, this is an interesting move. Should help recruiting a little I think and I love the player development aspect but as you say who will coach the defense? Maybe Doc enjoyed his bird's eye view of practice while guarding against covid? He is in his 60's.

  12. Wow. I love how his shots hit the bottom of the net. Pure. Not sure how he would fit in the grand scheme of things as he seems to be a wing? We are pretty good across the board but could use another ball handler and a 3rd big before a wing? Am I wrong?
  13. To borrow a phrase from Kent P. BANGORANG! Welcome C.J!
  14. Welcome Sam! You'll love it in Lincoln.
  15. My gut says Myreon Jones would be great for Nebraska. That's my number 1 choice.
  16. Fair enough. I will say he does look better in the 2nd video which is more current than the first video which I was looking at. I was trying to think of a comp for him, since you shot down my first one how about Dan Heimos? Depth & development is fine. I have no problem with 2-3 players that are development players.
  17. Maric had a strong post game. Derrick Chandler also had a nice post game, but that goes back a number of years.
