  1. Rivers confidence is rising every day. When he gets going and playing hard he's impressive.
  2. That's a really good group of forwards that should be able to compete serviceably next year. Consider me super excited to see this crew develop.
  3. Rebounding and flowing into early offense are the two biggest concerns that I see. We would have not been in a bunch of the early deficits we've been in had we taken care of the boards, for sure.
  4. This happens a lot to teams without depth. Subconscious worries showing through.
  5. Miles is trying to change the culture at Nebraska. That also means us. You can change a culture without throwing your team under the bus. If I'm a recruit I'm going somewhere I know the coach has my back publicly.
  6. I don't know... I guess I'm the only person who strongly dislikes how he airs his team's dirty laundry publicly. And it always seems to be about the players, as in it's their fault. Sorry, just being honesy, rubs me the wrong way.
  7. Pathetic effort. This teams consistency is embarrassing. I don't think that we are SO BAD, that we have to have some ridiculous effort or mystical, motivational, edge to win or be in games. We just need to consistently bring it, and we absolutely don't.
  8. I would love to hear your thoughts on Parker and Vucetic if you think Gesell and Woodbury are struggling. Think they are struggling too. Vucetic needs the weight room and Parker is not ready for the speed of the game. Anymore questions? I think you're missing Tim's point...
  9. That video made you skeptical? Did you, "keep in mind," that it is his sophomore film?
  10. There's more assumptions being made in this thread than I can handle... Players included who aren't even on the commit list, freshman starting, senior leading scorers getting bumped from the line-up. Geesh. We're also counting our chickens before they hatch on our players sitting out. And quite frankly, I haven't heard a ton of great things about Pritchford or Biggs anyways. Most of the good things I hear are about Pettiway.
  11. One I can't stand -- offense is driving in for a lay-up, a defender slides underneath, defender and driver make contact, defender falls, offensive guy makes lay-up (and probably falls too) -- and there's no call.... IT'S GOTTA BE SOMETHING!!! Either a block or a charge. Can't just be a no-call. That one drives me insane. Second rule that bugs me -- offensive player's driving, defensive player is parallel defending, and offensive player comes crashing into the defender to create contact and get a lay-up attempt, and gets the foul call! I personally believe no matter what the defender does in this situation it should be a no-call! Offensive players are gifted way too much contact and allowed to barrel in out of control. It's a bail-out call. Last, if you are a post defender, and you have your hands straight up in the air, and some offensive player comes charging in and delivers a blow to your chest - it's just friggin physics that your hands are going to come down. Should not be a foul.
  12. "Tom, I give you a ride on my plane and that's how you treat me?!?!?!" What miles shoulda said, ha.
  13. sweet baby jesus please enough of this bad husker news and please bless us with 10 years of nothing but high points. amen
  14. I'm just glad to see I wasn't in a large minority...
  15. A buddy sent me this -- "We just lost a game in which the opponent shot 38% from the floor, 24% from three, and 17% from the FT Line. No real excuse to lose a game like that at home, regardless of how bad your roster is." I agree... talk about recipe for an upset, and we still didn't pull it off.
  16. I feel like a poll might be necessary here... Don't think you are correct about me being in the minority.
  17. I don't think that is fair necessarily. Although I understand your sentiments. I thought the late game management was questionable, for sure. However, we were two check-outs and a made shot away from everyone thinking Miles is a great late game coach. So who knows! I'm willing to wait and see until he's got his dudes in.
  18. The play and coaching after the 3:00 minute mark was.... questionable. To say the least.
  19. Am I the only one who does not like the recruiting board being separated from the main board? I feel like it's an elephant in the room -- and I'll be the one willing to take the beatings for the suggestion.
