Add my wife, and both kids, plus one kid teaching at East. Spartans are insufferable at my place!

Good thing texts hadn't yet been invented when I was in high school and college.......
-
That was somewhat ambiguous.....?
-
Highly doubt Roby will be a senior here in 2019-20.
-
Well done, TA, Some players tweet a big game, but TA is actually doing something.

Darren Brown, '86. RIP

Smiles, your posts on here have the appearance of someone waiting to pounce at the first bit of bad news. If Miles doesn't allow Jordy to return in January you're probably hammering him for not giving second chances and not listening to his players. And how how do you know we didn't try to sign a juco /transfer big? Getting good enough ones isn't exactly easy. No one should be immune from criticism but yours seems over the top.

Fine. Who needs the drama.

2019 SG Quenton Jackson (JUCO) -> Texas A&M

Good post. On Roby, I'm in the category of "probably" losing him vs. "possibly". In fact, barring injury, I think it is very doubtful that Isaiah will return for a 4th year. -

Peach Schnapps year for Miles, out of necessity. -
Coughunter, is there a chance you were wrong about Sek all these years? ?

With all due respect (and I mean that; I appreciate your contributions to this site), I wouldn't have expected something quite so over the top when it comes to the alleged best player in the state staying in his home city. And I do think it would have been different had he chosen Nebraska. In that instance, it would have at least been mentioned that he didn't, as of yet, have consensus high ratings from the services and no power 5 offers to speak of. In any event, I seemed to have hit a nerve about your beloved city and team. But go through the last month and with a straight face tell me that Creighton coverage doesn't come anywhere near coverage of Nebraska basketball in Omaha (and don't bring football into it; this is a basketball discussion). I'm glad you think Mitchell deserves such universal and exuberant praise; you may end up being right. Others have watched him and have the right to weigh in as well.
-
And now that he's committed to Creighton, he's the greatest prospect in the history of college basketball. Check out the fawning article in the OWH this morning. Omaha and its media love them some Jays.

Danny Nee's Old Hang-out (one of them, anyway)

I'll prepare the bankruptcy papers. -
Agree on Harris. Creighton was talking greyshirt with Heiman. Not sure what would have happened had Creighton offered. Perhaps Jacob has some insight on that.
-
I watched Mitchell a couple of times in person. I'm no coach or talent scout, but I'm more surprised that Creighton offered then I am that we didn't. Maybe he's gotten way stronger since this winter. But "Big 10 point guard" sure didn't jump off the page. Compared to Khiry Thomas, for example, who by the time of the State tournament looked really good and I was hoping we were working that. Time will tell if Mitchell is in the Patton/Thomas mode or not. Just because that has been the recent history I wouldn't jump to the conclusion it will necessarily apply here. Having said all of that, I have to concede our in-state evaluation doesn't look good with examples like Daum, Patton and Thomas.

His "strengths as a scorer" were undermined by his flat shot, regardless of any conscious approach to facilitate vs. score.
-
Congrats, Col. And good for you in taking on your duty as a grandpa to bring the kid up "correctly" with regard to his college choices.
-
Burke isn't eligible this year due to transfer rules, so he won't be seeing any time. Davis may not be eligible due to academics.
-
Very insightful post.
-
Wow, I would love to have a debate on the last sentence, but it's a hoops board so I will refrain.
-
Seriously, that guy looks at least 30 years old. What the hell is in the water these days?
-
Nothing to be nervous about; its been apparent for quite some time she wouldn't be physically able to keep playing. We'll be moving on without 3 players with returning eligibility from last year, which many have known for a long time but Sam finally decided to put it out there vaguely. The coaches are in charge of timing the announcement, but this has been done for awhile.

Kearney Man, is that you?
