And I will agree with you, Norm. I just wish it had been handled better beyond the decision not to fire.

Heiman had a gray shirt offer from Creighton. And we were struggling mightily against a mediocre Ohio State team at home when Cope went down. Blown out by Iowa when it was struggling. Major problems were easily apparent to the eye watching the games.

Nice try. It's called context. It wasn't being a spelling policeman on typing "there" instead of "their" (or my favorite one on this board, that I always let slide, "dominate" for "dominant"). When you want to rip on someone as famous as Dr. Tom and misspell his name twice, well, it just had the appearance of being deliberate. And probably trolling. And undercutting what you purport to be an "actual objective discussion." I have plenty of objective discussions on here (3200 up-votes on 4100 posts didn't just fall out of the sky), but I can pick who I have them with. And something about your post caused me to say, "Nah....."

She actually doesn't get that many minutes. She played 16 minutes yesterday, which is about her average. I noticed that in a few of the games she has started, she ends up with only 12 minutes. So why does she start? I'm sure coach has her reasons, but as the posters above suggest, I'm pretty sure defense and consistency have a lot to do with it.

All good stuff, Norm, but a couple of critiques with the analogy. I don't put it all on Copeland's knee. We were playing like absolute dog crap for 3 weeks prior to his injury. Whatever buttons coaches are supposed to push for several mill a year weren't getting pushed. And I have trouble equating what the AD did 2 years ago with going for it on 15. Because he hedged. Sure, he didn't fire the coach. But he didn't exactly support him either. In fact, "going for it" in terms of going all in with the coach and supporting him is not close to what happened with the lack of an extension and weird lack of a public statement other than a succinct tweet. And I do think that contributed to the lack of depth in '18-19. With a coach barely alive but twisting in the wind, all the sudden we're only signing guys whose best offer was NU (Tom Allen excepted). Thor, Nana, KD, are you kidding me?). When I think of a "go for it" mentality, I think of Arnold Palmer, not SE.

Ah, Normie, you're bringing back fond memories. I was sitting in the first row on the 17th tee when that happened. Heard the roar when the eagle putt was made.

Good win. Glad to see Maddie play better. Cain continues to shake off the early season slump. Start of the 4th was the classic case of everyone trying to get theres with a big lead. I would have called a time out sooner to admonish them to knock off the selfish stuff. But we played thru it finally, and sealed a nice victory.

I'm guessing my friends are a helluva lot closer to Tim Miles and what he is thinking about Nebraska than yours. In fact I know it. But I'm not gonna disappear for a couple of years, come around when things turn to shit, claim I've been silently supporting the team all along as a big fan, and then throw some obvious stuff out there and claim I have all this wonderful sources. Big time poser.

It was close, so I didn't go nuts on that one. I did sorta go nuts when Law jumped on Thor and rolled around on him and they called a tie up. -

My understanding is a "hook and hold" is deemed a flagrant. -

About ready to head to the Railyard to get ready. Games like this require quite a bit of preparation -

Pardon matchup. The world knows that will be a challenge.

I am fired up for baseball. That is all.

I have a great capacity to remember useless information which makes me no money.

Chip Beck laid up

I have made it quite clear that I am not blaming the refs for the outcome of the game or Maryland's "clear superiority." I am only blaming them for being terrible.
-
True, had nothing to do with the outcome if the game. But that doesn't excuse gross incompetence. There needs to be accountability for such inconsistency. Just because it doesn't affect the outcome doesn't mean it should stand .
-
The Maryland player created the contact by hurling her shoulder into our player and they gave us the foul.
-
On Amy for throwing her arms up. After a despicably disgusting call

We are. Typical brutal hose job. I hate this league with a passion

Well, I only have 2 of the 3, so I'm feeling pretty good.
