How has he done a kickass job? Cause he had $35m and Matt Davison at his expense? He has little to no care about this bball program along with the other ADs for 25 years. If he does get Hoiberg I sure hope its a thorough cleansing and some support and care is put in otherwise it could get worse.

Agreed. Released a statement that you will make another statement. Makes no sense. Why tell him he coaches NIT and is done? If the team knows that do they play hard for the coach or say f u to the admin? Tough call and I wish the admin would support this team outside of the facilities garbage talk. There has been no support or direction or care from an AD in 25 years.

They way this AD and all of the admin handles this program just shows lack of care and respect. Laughing stock even more now. What a joke. Just cause he got a former player to coach football here doesnt make him a hero. Why say anything? Why release that statement as the players and coaches are coming down after the game. Im starting to get pissed and making hard to still be a fan. At this point I really do feel sorry for Miles in lieu of his career record and performance here.

I never understand why so many people think it has to be some coach or person with some sort of tie here. Why does it have to be that way? Find the best person who can recruit with assistants and can develop that talent. Its crazy to say that paying a coach $3M would put that guy in the top 15 in the country of salaries above some pretty big names and proven winners. Hope they get this hire right. I'm all for Turgeon, Sampson, Martin, Matta, or Marshall

Serious? Lame duck coach with players who are seniors that checked out. Not going to happen if given the chance. Wheres the motivation? If this was a young team maybe but not this team

Even if they made the NIT i find it hard they would go. It serves no purpose to this team or the future whatsoever.

I think Miles has just recruited highly ranked players for rankings sakes. He has got these players that don't fit into the culture or scheme. He figured if he got these guys he could plug them in and be successfull when in all reality they are just a mismash and dont fit his style for his scheme. Pitchford, Petteway, Palmer, all regressed their second year and surrounding players never developed to help.

I agree to a point but lets be real. The numbers look good but the product on the court is not. Would I still like them to claw ti make the tournament? Of course! But the eye test as well as the issues of administration show that this is the end and had put a cloud over this program this year. Trust me I have fought with people to no end on twitter defending this team but I dont see anyway this team can string together some wins and be something they arent. It reminds me of 2 years ago when we had the toughest schedule and just need 17 wins to probably be an at large but again were not that good of a team. Copeland loss was a major blow and feels like the microcosm of Nebrasketball.

Im amazed at the people still having hope. I want and have wanted to all year but the reality now after Rutgers and no Copeland is the season is over. I thought this team was good and defended it as long as I could but the fact is they arent. Look at the last 2 years. Outside of Michigan they have beat no one. Its sad. I would love to see this team reel off some wins but the harsh reality is I will be surprised if they can get 4 more wins. It pains me so to say but there will be a change at the end of the year for various reasons. I just hope for once this program can somehow someday do something special. I've been waiting since 1993.

I went there before the Iowa game. I was with 2 Iowa fans that wanted to check it out cause they heard about it. The place was filthy. Two attractive bartenders there around 3 that didnt seem to care about much. The beer was served in plastic pitchers and old plastic cups. The beer tasted old and dirty. I assume the lines hadnt been cleaned in awhile. I went up to the bar to get more pitchers and sat there for 5 mins while the girls talked to 2 guys sitting at the bar. The place wasnt busy at all at that time. I went to the restroom and one urinal had a black bag over it and the other had what looked like pulled pork in it from the night before. Never the less we obviously didnt eat there and left shortly after.

Unrealistic expectations? Dear god if anyone thinks this team shouldnt be in the tournament or on the bubble almost every year or every 2 years and has lower expectations then apathy has set in. No reason this program should be as bad as it is for as long as it has.

This whole thing is turning into a joke and pretty much sums up Nebrasketball and the history of this program. Will anyone ever care to invest in this program and and make decisions? You dont think Barfknecht is purposely used by Miles to give out info that he can write about that supports Miles and the program and the issues Miles has? Why did Miles find it necessary to tell Lee about he hasnt heard about his contract? Cause Miles wants to control the message. Miles isn't stupid and Lee will write it cause he gets that insider info.
