  1. According to Miles he hurt himself stretching
  2. Doc wasn't going to let Christian freelance on offense and shoot the ball every time he got it. Christian didn't quite get the "team" concept and thought "team" was spelled C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N-S-T-A-N-D-H-A-R-D-I-N-G-E-R. So, in addition to being a ball hog, the kid couldn't spell very well. That's one way of looking at it. But Doc was ok with Bo Spencer doing it since he spent so much time talking him up during his redshirt he had to
  3. The chick in the park was saying the same thing.... In all seriousness, I would've liked it if he atleast got a chance at Nebraska. The guy could penetrate and make things happen. Doc just hated his premature shot. And his ball handling skills were good as well. He never seemed to have trouble rising to the occasion either.
  4. That's what Jorge Brian Diaz said!
  5. I think everyone is over sensitive to this. Giving an honest evaluation of someone based on what you see and stating your opinion is not making fun of a player. We live in a society today where everyone can't accept criticism and falls apart when something is said about them. Sometimes things are said in a joking manner and shouldn't be taken serious. It's not like anyone is saying they suck or they are a piece of garbage. They are two different things. Go ahead and swing away at me for being critical too in player evaluations but I'm just giving my opinion on what I see. I see players being discussed on here all the time and when I state facts and what I see I get hammered for it. It just shows passion from fans and caring about a product. You think there is no one on a husker football board or anyone on here who isn't criticizing Taylor Martinez? It comes with being a Division I athlete at a major program. I am calling you out for whispering...speak up man! I think everyone is over sensitive to this. Don't know how that happened

  7. I'm with you cwg. Terrible passing too. Some of the turnovers were just plain embarassing. What was up with Ray on that one traveling call? Looked like he was drunk. We hurt ourselves the most when the other team is making 3's. Seems like once they get one Talley HAS to take it down and jack up a terrible 3 to try and get it back. Drives me crazy. Ray has logged a lot of minutes, the shot is gone and long gone. It's never been there except 2 games this year
  8. Think Norm is spot on, think the 5 kids playing all the minutes are gassed. Overall: Gallegos averages 37.3 mpg Talley averages 35.3 mpg Ubel averages 32.2 mpg Shields averages 27.3 mpg Rivers averages 24.6 mpg Conference games only: Gallegos averages 38,8 mpg Talley averages 35.4 mpg Ubel averages 33.5 mpg Shields averages 30.5 mpg Rivers averages 28.7 mpg I don't buy the tired part. These are 18-22 year old kids in the prime of their life and prime condition. They get 4 media timeouts a half, plus the potential for 10 timeouts during the game, and halftime and are technically playing in 4 min spurts. I know it's physical but that's not too bad
  9. It's a little out dated as some of those teams, Virginia, and SLU, are likely in the tournament
  10. You are also not an amateur athlete that is on stage in from of thousands of people several times a week. You're right, cause I made a choice to do what I wanted to do and they did too. People talk about Benny and Vooch on another topic criticizing them but that's ok, but I'm wrong for doing it to players who play more. I assume you as well as others are ok with judging Taylor Martinez though. It's funny how I'm in the wrong but everyone else does the same thing. Grow up, hippocrites
  11. There is drunk fans everywhere. I don't take what T.O. said seriously. I don't think Bball fans will be bad.
  12. I've seen worse! Me too. I bet. With a little bit of effort, we could make this a 10 page thread by night's end..... Let's do it! And I think we could by just responding to each other we could get one response on one page!
  13. Thank you for not nesting that quote. <_< Which. I. Just. Did. Don't worry I will, and yes I do. What is he really doing right now for the team?
  14. Hard to consider your critiques of our fans given your history of Husker player bashing. The 'ol glass house concept.... Two different topics and has nothing to do with the other. The only players I "bashed" as you said were Sek Henry and Gallegos. Just honest evaluations of players who I don't think did much or have done much yet have got plenty of playing time. So I'll go wash my glass house now.No need to put "bash" in quotes, 'cause that's exactly what you do to hard-working,decent players who gave the Husker their all over multiple years. And I guess they "didn't do much" other than cause us to win many games that we wouldn't have won without them. As I stated before, just cause you work really hard doesn't make you a good player. I have given credit to many players especially those who were more skilled and people said they didn't work hard like CSH, Diaz, Bear, Jeter, Ubies, and others. Honest evaulation of a player and what their role is and questioning why they play so many minutes is valid. I never said they didn't work hard and weren't a fit for what they did. And honestly, they haven't won many games over the years, let's be honest. Not something to be proud of and hopefully we get the right players who will. Of all the stiffs we've had here in the past 12 years, you singling out those 2 guys just seems pretty strange, and over the top. Way better players than you realize. Who would you have played instead of Sek--all those studs we had on the bench? Who would you play this year instead of Ray? Seriously. Questing his minutes this year when we can put in Menke instead is absurd.Bear, McCray, Beranek, CSH....I wasn't singling them out just stating my point on what I thought of them as a player. And I blame more the Coach and system for not playing the more talented players and holding players back. That's why we have a new coach. I have never bashed Rayes. Unfortunately there isn't any options this year, but jacking up wild 3's off screens from running the baseline all night when you used to penetrate and elevate does no good. Anyone could take the shots he does at any point in the shot clock. I do like Menke as a ball handler. I do like JT as a penetrator. I think Rey needs to pull it back a little. I don't see how giving an opinon on a player is over the top. I assume you are also satified that the football team wins 9 games every year too and would never talk about a player being out played. You need to blame Miles then. He is correctly instructing him to shoot. Thank god you are not in charge of the offense if you don't think he should be shooting. That's my point, he's not a great shooter outside of two games this year, he is being forced to take wild shots and way too many bad shots. Sure he may be better if there were more options but I don't think shooting more from him is the answer, especially when he won't try to create his own shot or get to the free throw line. When's the last time a 2 guard was at the free throw line less than 30 times this late in the year and played that many minutes.

These are walkons that put their heart and soul in this program. That is so low of you. Glass House. Dude you should quit while you are only way behind. We've all seen posts where you bash individual players knowing that we didn't have better options. This is why wins are so hard to come by this year. We just don't have a better option. You want to rip on a coach that's fine, but some of the things you've said about players is way out of line. Reyes and Sek work(ed) their rear ends off and they don't deserve being bashed. Like HB I question why have choosen to single these 2 players out....strange. I'm not singling them out. People were talking about them and I was giving my opinion based on facts and ovservation. Never bashing them. I work my butt off and am dedicated at my job. Doesn't mean I deserve to be a CEO.

  20. I heard the same thing about Vooch, don't know what that was. And Jason is a moron. Don't call a coaches show and tell him how to coach and what you would do cause you don't know anything about coaching compared to a Division I coach. That guy was a magoosh!
  21. Yes, the refs are out to get Nebraska and it's all their fault that Nebraska can't recruit players, can't get in the NCAA tournament, can't win games and probably the reason Doc Sadler got fired. Seriously, give me a break and stop crying. I thought Nebraska had the best fans? Oh wait that's only when they are winning, and nice for people to leave sooooo early last night too, must have been the refs fault also.
  22. I love those shoes! Do u know of any site that sells them ??? I did a google search the other day and saw one style on there that was blue with the black star. I bought mine from the converse outlet way back in the day. They are actually one size too big but I took them anyway cause the only other pair they had was Terrance Badget's size 15 that were obviously way too big. I almost got those cause they were his but wouldn't have been useful. I've kept mine all these years and have hardly worn them.
  23. Ha, you must be the guy I always make fun of!
  24. I'll be breaking out my Voltage shoes for the game, hopefully people aren't wearing their 94-95 husker national champion sweatshirts for throwback night
