02/13/2013 - At Indiana Report Card

My point is that it's been a trend all year long, I don't think it has to do with the officals but more of the style of play -

Oh my god, I can't believe we are talking about officiating in a blowout. When has Nebraska received fouls this year? The type of team they are doesn't allow them to get fouled. There have been many times this year where there is a huge foul difference. It sounds like people are complaining that we lost to a far superior #1 team that most likely will be in the final four, and we have 7 schlorship players and a walkon that played 15 minutes because of fouls. -

Complaining about officials in a 30 point game? Really? I thought this was a basketball thread not a Nebraksa is leaving the big 12 football thread? -
So you don't like good insight based on factual and analytica information, I understand. You probably don't believe in evolution either.

Non verbal words have no emotion so hard for you to judge. Dirk has been a huge Nebraksetball fan for years and has openly said so in the past years on his radio appearances. I don't get offended by his snarky humor even thought I didn't think it was that bad, as someone who is a beat writer for that sport and has unlimited access and appears to be a fan at times but then just bashes the team
-
So you're saying he has gotten no smarter as he as aged? I am, his articles are interesting, honest, insightful and make you think. His approach is to bring out the numbers side of things and analyze it. It comes across as negative at times but you don't have much to argue with what he writes.
-
I'm sure Dirk was about 16, 17, or 18 at that time so he gets a break. I think I'm more concerned that you have that clip and you dated it.
-
Dirk has plenty of times called out Creighton or spoke his mind on their problems both in the paper and on the radio, I don't think it's an issue of being honest of what you see and the numbers that back up the facts, but rather the way certain people take their "jabs" at the programs
-
He may be critical but I think some of it is in good fun and he does have some valid points though too, numbers don't lie. I live in Omaha but always listen to him since they do talk a ton of Nebrasketball which you hear none of here

Twitter is synonymous with sarcasm. Rosenthal is pretty tame in that regard. https://twitter.com/HuskerExtraBR/status/296447214757244928 Not sure what you want him to tweet about in a 19 point beat down. Btw, you might want to never read the game threads here. Don't follow Walgomont nor Lee B. You're angry about Kent Walgomont tweets? I'm impressed he actually cares about Nebrasketball. If you're not interested in what Lee B is phoning an intern to tweet you could always not follow him He's too old to tweet, just in his chats...I get being upset but bashing the team in that fashion is kinda classless in my opinion, especially from someone who is a writer for a newspaper and gets unlimited access to the team, that's all
-
Have you seen his smartass tweets he has during games?
-
Does anyone else find it extremely annoying that Brian Rosenthal, Lee B, and Kent Walgamont continue to bash Nebrasketball via twitter or chats all the time? I mean seriously, i'm not saying you have to be the Husker sports network but the snarky comments all the time get a little old and annoying. And why does a movie critic get press credentials to a NCAA basketball game?

Thinking about the last game at the Bob

How about chop Kent Walgamont's pony tail off so he's scared and never has to come to the Pinn and be negative? -
I wasn't afraid to let the fans have it that left with over 5 minutes to go last night in the B section. Funny how not one single person looked at me except the two old guys that stayed the whole game. I think I upset the fans in front of me by my yelling but I don't care.

Who is Jaronn Boone?
-
It all comes down to the athletes. I like this offense and I'm sure if Doc ran as much motion, cuts, screens, penetration that Miles has installed with his players, there would have been more wins the past few years. I see the foundation being laid and I like the style even if we don't have the players yet. Keep in mind this is a new coach and new system with players who he didn't recruit. Learning curve.

12/18/2012 - Jacksonville State Report Card
BannedAccount replied to hhcdave's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I don't get the negative report either. I mean seriously? This team will be lucky to get 12 wins this year, 12! Based on the lack of depth, injuries, and current roster a win is a win. What will you say and how upset would you be when they lose to 40 to a big 10 team? I think relatively speaking the collapse at the end was bad, but they did have this game in control in the second half. It's not like they totally dominated NU and we were lucky to sneak out a victory. -
So with Creighton fans showing up with their "Only Ranked Team in the State" T-shrits tonight, does the student section have anything planned?
-
Thanks, very creative, how do people make those? Kinko's?

What is that picture of that girl of that was at the USC game and is on the main page?

I'll take anything over the bermuda triangle. I've been to Bluejay games and other events at the Link and would gladly pay more money for parking to have shorter walking distance and ease of exit like I do there. Since I'm not from Lincoln and come in from Omaha, can someone tell me specifically where to park other than the one way in, one way out fairgrounds area? I usually come off 27th. It still baffles me they have fenced off that exit and with no work being done.

Outside of Mcdermott Creighton is not loaded with talent. In fact, id say outside of Mcdermott both teams are pretty comparable to each other. I'd much rather live with Creighton living with the three ball rather than giving up easy buckets down low to Mcdermott. I'd have to disagree. Gibbs, Wragge, Enrichy (as Miles said last night) are all going to be tough matchups. If there is any chance NU has to play a perfect game by staying out of foul trouble, limiting turnovers, and hoping for some CU foul trouble, and hoping CU is cold from the 3. They are a deep team and have the ability to go 10 to 11 deep if needed. I just want to see a competitive game and not have to listen to all the bluejay fans all game.
