OT: You can't spell "SEC" without "Texas"
kldm64 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Actually, if the Big 12 does add these 4 teams, it could save Texas and OU from having to wait the 4 years and save them from the buyout they would have had to pay. This could actually benefit Texas and OU. I talked to one of the track coaches at Texas this weekend and he said the Big 12 is wanting them to leave the conference now and thinks this will be their last year competing in the the Big 12. -
Keeping up with the offers/visits
kldm64 replied to Norm Peterson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I hope people fully understand the recruiting work that Matt and Fred are doing. This is so incredible to get kids of this caliber on campus with an actual shot to sign them. Omaha is the #4 ranked player in the entire country and he is coming to visit for the 2nd time. Just the fact that we are being considered by kids of this talent makes me very confident that Fred will have us in the tournament and get our first win very soon if not this year. -
What will our rotation look like next year?
kldm64 replied to huskerbill85's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
If I had to pick today, starters would be: Alonzo Verge Trey McGowens Bryce McGowens Lat Mayen Derrick Walker Assuming a 10 man rotation at most, here would be the bench players to get playing time C.J. Wilcher Kobe Webster Eduardo Andre Wilhelm Breidenbach Keisei Tominaga That is not a bad looking roster -

OT: Printed vs. Digital Tickets: The Debate
kldm64 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I used to think paper tickets but honestly since I went to digital tickets, I'd never go back to printed again. My tickets are with me all the time and if I want to sell or transfer them to someone else, I can do that without having to leave my couch instead of having to meet up with the person. It's a huge cost saving for UNL to go with digital tickets and won't be much longer till paper tickets aren't even an option anymore. -
OT: You can't spell "SEC" without "Texas"

I'm sure the Big 12 is desperate to add schools but this would not improve the conference. Of course, we said the same thing in adding Rutgers and Maryland. -
2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
kldm64 replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
From inside sources that I know and very connected, it sounds like he is committing to Virginia. Kids have been know to steer people wrong so they can "shock the world" with their announcement but not looking good for NU at the moment. -
That is actually a very good point on NIL money as hopefully they make his aware of all the companies in Omaha that he might be able to utilize his name with and make some bank

OT: You can't spell "SEC" without "Texas"
kldm64 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
It's not just a numbers game. Just because you have 41 teams in an alliance vs 16 teams in the SEC doesn't really mean anything. If that was true, the SEC could just partner with Big 12 and any other conference to up their numbers. -
OT: You can't spell "SEC" without "Texas"
kldm64 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
If you think they are going to shape the future of college football, the SEC would need to be involved. They are the best and most powerful football conference and it's not even close. With all 3 conferences combined, the only 2 school that carry any weight is Ohio State and Clemson. You can't shape the future if you don't have the best conference involved. -

Not really even sure that this alliance means other than these conference will schedule non-conference games against each other more often??? And they won't schedule any SEC teams for non-conference games??? Seem like just a handshake kind of deal that doesn't really mean anything. -
That is pretty massive news that he's coming back for an official visit. Fred isn't messing around. He is swinging for the fences with recruiting. Can you image if we landed another 5 star recruit.......mind blown!!!!!
-
No. I'm pretty much at mid-court but was hoping to move closer to the court. I was not able to find any better seats so just kept the ones I have.
-
That is not entirely true as if you uncheck the "keep" box accidently before you submit your request, you will lose your current seats.

OT: You can't spell "SEC" without "Texas"
kldm64 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Not sure I look at it that they snubbed Nebraska but rather just voted what they felt was best for their school and/or the conference. Actually, Nebraska is the one that looked bad being the only ones voting differently. -
I'm already in the 100 section but was hoping to move down closer to the court but my time isn't till 1pm today so not looking good I'll be able to do that. I have great seats now but always looking to improve any chance I get.
-
Sure, what section are you in?
-
I just looked and absolutely amazed how many seats are available through the Seat Yourself Process that started today. There are a ton of great seats still available yet. My time slot isn't till tomorrow but can't believe so many people must not have reviewed their season tickets.

I think people in this state still think of NU football brand in the top 10 but not so much nationally. -
Wow, you have quite an imagination.

OT: You can't spell "SEC" without "Texas"
kldm64 replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
That literally makes no sense at all. My point is that schools make decision what they feel is in the their best interest. NU left for the Big 10 because it provided more revenue and stability. Texas and OU are basically doing the same thing and yet it's seems as a negative or greedy move. Just seems like a double standard to me. -

How was it not the same? Nebraska left the Big 12 for the money and stability of the Big 10. Texas and OU are leaving the Big 12 for the money and stability of the SEC. Can you explain to me what is different? -
That what I heard as well
