  1. I'd take him in heartbeat but doubt he would leave Rutgers to take a job in the same conference.
  2. I agree with you but isn't this why 99% of the coaches take a job for the paycheck? Coaches leave all the time for a better payday. I doubt we are going to find a really good qualified coach that is dying to coach at Nebraska because he wants to be here. It will take a huge paycheck to convince someone they want to coach at Nebraska.
  3. I'll add that as an option. Do you have a suggestion of a name to add to the list?
  4. Obviously, this list doesn't every include candidate but if you were the NU athletic director, and you have already made the decision to let Fred go, who are you going after as Nebraska's next head coach either from this list or elsewhere?
  5. Clearly Doc needs to go. He bring no value at all. Regardless of how well the other assistants are doing, at least one of them will have to go. There is no way you can sell bringing back all your assistants doing the same thing and expect different results. Fred is going to have to make some changes in several aspects of this program. That is assuming he is giving one more year which is not a guarantee at this point.
  6. Not even sure Fred has a system as it's more playing street ball than a system.
  7. Why do you think Fred is still the man for the job? I know he came into a tough situation but we should not be as bad as we are at this point. He had experienced players returning this year and a top 20 recruiting class and we are the worst team in the conference by far and one of the worst teams in the country. I was all in on Fred but have have seen no improvements during the year to make me think that moving forward with Fred is the right move. I was ready to start building at statue of Fred when they hired him but after the results I've seen the past 3 years, I'm not sure Fred it the right coach moving forward.
  8. True but like most good competitors, he assumed him and Trey could get NU to the tournament this year and then he gets the best of both worlds. Just didn't work out so now he has to re-evaluate his options.
  9. And in my opinion, this is the beginning of the end of college sports as we know it. NIL is the worst thing ever to happen to college sports.
  10. Way easier said than done. Any suggestions on how we go about doing that as pretty sure Nebraska thought they hired the right guy each time.
  11. Totally understand your point but put yourself in Bryce's shoes. Would you come back to this or go somewhere and get to play in the NCAA tournament and compete for a National Championship in your last year of college?
  12. I agree that is what he should do and if he does decide to return to school for another season, my worry is it won't be at Nebraska.
  13. I was going to say the same thing CrazyforNUHoops said is Bryce is not a lottery pick and not even close to being so. He easily could go in the first round but claiming he is a lottery pick is a real stretch.
  14. As much fun as this is and Fred has done nothing to earn another year, the odds are 18,500,000 to 1 that Fred is given one more year.
  15. You mean a coach that wins?
  16. I'd take Mark Turgeon in a heartbeat. No clue why you wouldn't want him.
  17. Those are basically the 2 options since I'm assuming he not wearing it for fun.
  18. This is true but I've been able sell my tickets everytime for the handful of games I couldn't attend. I've gotten face value each time. I posted my tickets for the Maryland game the other day for face value and they sold within a day.
  19. I saw that. Hoping it is just precautionary
  20. Who's to say the Fred will agree to a new renegotiated contract? And why would he? He can say no, I signed the original contact and UNL can honor it or pay me $18 million dollars to leave. Fred doesn't have to renegotiate if he doesn't want to. He has all the power in this situation.
  21. That is why we pay Fred $3.5 million dollars a year to get dude's like that to come here.
  22. I don't think Brice is gone but pretty sure Bryce will be gone
  23. As much as I'd love to see him again next year, I agree with you. And guessing Fred will advise him to leave for his benefit
  24. Sense this season didn't turn out like anyone expected, thought we'd look ahead to next year. Obviously, we don't want a complete roster flip yet again so wondering how many players will return (assuming Fred is retained as coach). Here is a list of players that are eligible to return. Here is my guess on the ones think will return and the ones I don't want to return. C.J. Wilcher - I want him to return - Prediction = he will return Trey McGowens - I want him to return - Prediction = he will not return Quaran McPherson - I want him to return - Prediction = he will return Bryce McGowens - I want him to return - Prediction = he will not return Lat Mayen - I don't want him to return - Prediction = he will not return Derrick Walker - I want him to return - Prediction = he will not return Keon Edwards - I want him to return - Prediction = he will not return Keisei Tominaga - I want him to return - Prediction = he will return Wilhelm Breidenbach - I want him to return - Prediction = he will return Oleg Kojenets - I want him to return - Prediction = he will return Eduardo Andre - I want him to return - Prediction = he will return So if I'm correct (and of course, I'm just guessing), that only gives us 5 returning players.
  25. I'm sure you would agree that It is the best and worst diet program I've ever been on .
