  1. I also believe he has been injury prone in the past? I dont know if anyone can comment specifically on his time at Tennessee, but I remember hearing something along those lines. He also DNP during our trip overseas bc of injury.
  2. Sans FT shooting, I believe Jervay was close to those numbers in JUCO.
  3. I am a statistician, and 40 years from now when my memory starts going to shit this season is going to be really confusing
  4. Wasnt going to go out of my way to watch. But now I will be making sure my schedule is clear come tip off
  5. Yes i think we will be much improved from a talent stand point and schematic fit. And no doubt HCFH will coach em up.
  6. Funny me and my buddy were just talking about who on the fb team could help. Noah Vedral and Austin Allen were my picks.
  7. I understand the thinking of "this is a seven win team, who cares if anyone comes back". But my main concern with having zero holdovers comes from when I look at Banton, Walker, Stevenson, Mayen, and Allens career minutes. I believe Banton has the highest MPG average at 15ish, but he was at Western Kentucky. Sure everyone else played P5 bball but not in high volume nor were they asked to take on the roles of starter, leading scorer, etc. Thats a lot of players being asked to take on much larger roles in a bigger, more physical conference. Im still optimistic, but having a couple guys return and reduced to rotation pieces who are familiar with HCFH and the B1G isnt a bad idea imo. If Kobe King recieves eligibility, he will be a huge help as he has the best statisitics of any incoming player and has two years of experience in the B1G.
  8. In the form of Noah Vedral and Brent Banks. Both Nebraska football players will travel to Indy and are eligible to play.
  9. Are we so far done with Cam Mack that we arent going to mention that Mack was All-B1G Honorable Mention? Sorry if I missed it.
  10. This years teams problem was we had too many bench players (10-15 MPG) playing 30+ a game every night. I would prefer we dont completely start over from scratch as we have seen what that can make a team look like (a very extreme example Ill admit). But I trust HCFH to keep the right 2-4 guys from this year's team and adjust their role properly.
  11. If I had a crystal ball that would assure me Mack matures and buys in, then I would want Mack, Thor, and Ouedraogo to stay. Wouldnt mind Arop staying another year either just see how he develops. If Easley is okay fluctuating back and forth between scholarship and no scholarship during his career I am also 100% down to keep him.
  12. Any news on his injury or the severity? I havent heard anything. With that many games, i will be happy with .500 ball this week.
  13. It is a four game series next weekend. With the two midweek games against Northern Colorado, itll be interesting to see how the pitching holds up with that many games.
  14. After this post, I will not be commenting on it anymore bc my point is not getting across whether it be my own fault or others not comprehending what im saying. I am not saying Cam Mack is an NBA player right now. I mentioned how he needs to bulk up a bit and work on his shooting. But he has attribites that are very appealing to NBA scouts (quickness, passing, and vision). If, I even said its a big IF, he works on the things above he could be a second rounder next year. Second rounders arent sure fire bets to ever step on the court, let alone be stars. I feel like a lot of the negativity Mack is getting is simply from the fact the his actions and immaturity are hurting a team we love. Feel free to disagree! GBR
  15. Saw him at Baxter against UNO earlier in the year and he didnt impress me. However, when UNO visited WIU he did drop 40 on them. Thats all i know.
  16. With only seven guys, I really hope we see a Arop/Cross/Ouedraogo front court combo most of the game. I mean why not???
  17. Not really worried about next year in terms of chemistry or transition to P5 basketball. We will have our three sit out guys plus 2-3 (maybe more?) returning from this years team. Remember, Thor and Burke were the only two players who had been on a team together coming in to this season. But didnt play together. And HCFH and staff system was new to everyone. As for the players coming in, as mentioned above, they all have some degree of P5 experience. We will be in a much better situation heading into next year.
  18. And i still think one of the three guards return and hope Arop does. No idea on Easley or Cross. I would welcome both back but understand if they decide to go.
  19. If im Thor, which obviously im not, im thinking I sat through two full years of most fans calling me a waste of scholarship and then a full year of proving I can play but on a team that took its fair share of lumps. Now I wanna reap the benefits of contributing on a (hopefully) good team. Plus another year under the tutelage of HCFH cant hurt, right?
  20. Agree. At some point we will have to cut our losses. He could be a really good player but it's not like we will be missing out on a lottery pick.
  21. Honestly starting to think Yvan Ouedraogo and Thorir Thorbjarnarson are the only ones that are locks to return (or as close to locks as you can have in CBB).
  22. Agree on Green and Burke. Disagree on Mack. He is a top level PG, but obviously might be addition by subtraction at this point considering all the issues he has had. It will be interesting to see how these end of the season meetings go.
  23. What do you guys think are the chances Mack, Burke, and Green are all gone at seasons end? Before this suspension, I thought Burke would be most likely to return. Now who knows whats going on. If all three leave, King's eligibility status becomes of even greater importance.
  24. Markus Howard? He is a tried and proven product. The thing about the NBA is they love drafting on potential and Mack has that. He has the tools you cant teach. Lightning fast and good decision maker who can fire a laser point pass to anyone at any given time. Plus he is a great rebounder for his position and size. A team will take a chance on him thinking they can teach him to shoot and make him stronger/bigger. Once again, this is under the pretenses he comes back next year and puts in the necessary work under HCFH. And i completely understand why ppl think that is a big IF. Side note, the reason i love this board and continue to frequent it is bc there are varying and opinions and we can discuss them respectfully and civilly.
