  1. Cant see it at all? His court vision, passing ability, and quickness are pretty damn close to being NBA caliber. Yes, he is lacking size and shooting. But if he had both of those hes a lottery pick and he'd be completing his sophomore campaign in the NBA not in college lol. If he chooses to put in the work he has the skill set, ability, and resources to become that type of player.
  2. Right now, I think Cam Mack would be the only player on the current roster that would start next year. I think Dachon Burke, Thorir Thorbjarnarson, and Yvan Ouedraogo could all be 10-20 MPG rotation guys. Not that the others cant develop, but as of right now I dont see them being in the conversation for playing time. Ps i am also hoping Akol Arop sticks around atleast for another year.
  3. Would like more than once if i could lol
  4. He has the potential to get drafted. Anyone who watches can see it. Whether or not he becomes one is solely on him. If he doesn't, it wont be from lack of opportunity or because of physical ability.
  5. Should have another win or two that we let slip away, but it was some stiff competition. Starting this weekend, we gotta start making up ground in the W-L column.
  6. To be fair, Palmer and Cope were both 5 year guys so they were a much more finished product. I could see Dalano Banton/Teddy Allen both being equal to or better than James Palmer/Isaac Copeland by the end of their careers. Mack could be a second rounder next year if he keeps his head on straight and goes to work. I believe the staff or someone close to the program has stated Banton has first round potential. And Teddy Allen gets buckets and will atleast find his way onto a summer league team or G-League team post college... again, if he can keep his head on straight.
  7. Love seeing Arop get some serious run. Also love the Ouedraogo and Cross/Arop front court lineup. Doesn't hurt to try at this point.
  8. You left of Karrington Davis and Akol Arop
  9. Im sure Kobe King has a great case and the staff believes he does too. But they don't make the call, the NCAA does. And I have no reason to believe they will make the right call as they are very inconsistent and idiotic at times with their rulings. Hoiberg and Co. thought Shamiel Stevenson (i know they are different cicrcumstances) had a good case too and that didnt get approved. So I wont hold my breath. That is my reasoning behind my prediction and I dont think there is anything weird about it.
  10. Wouldnt listing him as a RS and me stating I was using the term RS and sitout interchangeably imply i dont think he gets the waiver...
  11. This is a thread based on predictions. That was my prediction of the roster next year (scholarship players only). Sorry if that wasnt clear.
  12. I mean he isnt eligible unless he gets a waiver, which he hasnt yet. Redshirt year or sit out year same difference to me.
  13. This is our roster next year: Dachon Burke 6'4 Sr G Thorir Thorbjarnarson 6'6 Sr G Cam Mack 6'2 Jr G Derrick Walker 6'8 Jr F Lat Mayen 6'9 Jr F Shamiel Stevenson 6'6 Jr F Teddy Allen 6'5 Jr G/F Akol Arop 6'6 So F Charlie Easley 6'2 So G Dalano Banton 6'8 So G/F Yvan Ouedraogo 6'9 So F REDSHIRTING Kobe King 6'4 RJr G *Insert another RS transfer*
  14. I think basketball will be vastly improved next year. They will be NIT for sure with a chance to go dancing. I consider myself a realist but if we keep Cam Mack, and Dalano Banton and Teddy Allen are close to as talented as advertised we will be money. Thats not even considering the growth of returning players or what Stevenson, Walker, and/or Mayen will provide. Now obviously thats a lot of "ifs" and there will be some let downs from individual players, but i like how next season is beginning to look.
  15. I was just mentioning everyone who was left off bc it is easy to forget with all the pieces we currently have.
  16. Agree. I have Cross out and Walker in.
  17. Totally being an asshole on purpose here (so dont take me seriously). But then lets not make any predictions at the beginning of seasons or before games either... JUST LET THEM PLAY OUT!!! This is a thread based solely on predictions and guesses. Let us who choose to partake in it have our fun!!!
  18. At first thought I want to say Jervay Green bc our need for a backup PG is greater than our need for another wing. But as I think it through, I have no doubt Dalano Banton is more than capable of running the point and would be the one to do so if Mack went down. Which makes me lean towards Burke.
  19. Okay im ready to talk... STARTERS - Cam Mack - Teddy Allen - Dalano Banton - Shamiel Stevenson - Derrick Walker ROTATION - Thorir Thorbjarnarson - Yvan Ouedraogo - Lat Mayen - Dachon Burke OR Jervay Green *still cant decide who is a better individual player and who fills a more important need for next year **sub Kobe King if he recieves a waiver Feeling very confident about this prediction (as confident as you can be with this early of a prediction ). I could see Kevin Cross, Akol Arop, Charlie Easley, and Burke/Green (one or the other; and both if King is eligible) all looking for PT else where. Not that they couldnt contribute next year or, for the underclassmen, develop in to contributors but their roles/PT are going to be greatly diminished. Its just one of those things where once you get a taste of PT and a large role, you dont want to go back to a smallet role or riding the pine.
  20. San Diego loss is the only one i really have a problem with. Cant blow a 7-0 lead in the second half of the game. Oh well. Good to get one!! Hopefully they start making up some ground as the schedule softens. GBR
  21. My bunnies took Omaha South to triple OT. Soooo close
  22. We can make bold generic statements all day. Back it up with what the "right seeding" would be or, if it happens, it wont count!!!
  23. Agree with the above post. The staff seems to really like his potential. The staff also likes to have two or three guys RS each season and only plays roughly eight guys. On average, that leaves two spots open who arent RS and arent in the rotation. Things to consider: - Is that Akol's ceiling on this team or at this level? - Is that a role Akol is okay filling? - Is the staff okay with keeping him IF that is his ceiling?
