Miles said in a LJS write up that their focus this week is to essentially re-recruit their 2018 class and fill them in on their plans for the assistant vacany. Also, said info of extentsion should be coming any day now but wouldnt say more. Hes going to let the official announcement come from AD Moos

How much does Nebraska pay again? -
Would that make Palmer preseason player of the year?
-
What does that have to do with Husker recruiting... ?
-
Worked out well for both Nebraska and Shepard. We tripled our win total and she found a better situation for herself.

Copeland could get drafted by the G league this year. -
Purdue just got a commit from a grad transfer big out of Dartmouth. Avg of 17pts 9 reb I think. Was going to Xavier but flipped once Coach Mack left for Louisville.

Robin said he would be surprised if Copeland is back. Cited age and bad back/knees as the reason --> he's not sure how many healthy years he has left in him and is probably going to want to start getting paid to play bball while he still can. Especially since he already has his degree. Robin also said he expects Palmer to be back in a Husker uniform. Copeland going overseas would leave us shallow up front. Just Roby, Jordy, Tanner, and Heiman. -
I agree with multiple options
-
I believe the arms we lost were going to be relied on for some pretty heavy innings. A lot of teams would struggle if they lost their closer, a weekend starter, and two of their top middle relievers/mid week starters. Offensively I agree. Not much talent or consistency from the plate.

My post isn't wrong. We do have a weak bullpen and it has cost us a few games (where the bats produced enough runs or had the lead late) and will probably continue to cost us some games. But I do not think I said anywhere in my post that pitching was our only issue or that I thought our offense/lineup were good. I was just highlighting one aspect of the game bc that's what stood out to me that particular game/series.

The ACC and SEC were still better conferences than the B1G. Quit crying.

What to do with Miles contract?
khoock replied to The Polish Rifle's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Not saying extend him based off of his losses. But those losses were clearly to teams that are/were playing very well. Miles job was essentially on the line this season and he responded with 22 wins and a double bye in the BTT. Unless players truly cannot stand him, then there is no reason to fire him imo. -

Miles deserves to come back. 22 wins, last two losses (that left a sour taste in our mouth) were against teams playing very well. - Michigan could very well win the national championship - Miss St is in the NIT semis and that game was on the road Extend him. -

For those of you who dont have the time to read it the writer says: - 70 percent chance he comes back to SDSU - 20 percent chance he goes pro - 5 percent chance he grad transfers, specifically mentioning Nebraska and Creighton -
128 teams so the right teams get in.... Lol add in about 60 more WRONG teams just so the 3-4 teams snubbed get in. Doesn't make sense. No thank you.

Lack of quality arms (thanks to injuries) is gonna make this one long season.
-
Im sure everybody is over it, but man how unlucky were our post season draws? 1. Hot Michigan team that goes on to win it all. Do we win our first round game if we play someone else? 2. A Miss St team that has since gone on to smoke Baylor and Louisville on their own courts. Are we in the NIT semifinals if we play someone else first round? Or host Miss St instead of play them on the road? Kind of frustrating.

I guess it is hard to tell. Does he play over Gill, Taylor, Palmer? But then again, do we still have all of those guys if Evelyn stays? Who knows. -

Of all the transfers listed above, Andrew White and Ed Morrow were probably the only two who would have continued to play had they not transferred. Everyone else would have stayed on the bench or seen their roles diminished to the bench. -

Sucks for Miles that when he finally gets a complete, talented roster the rest of the Big Ten decides to stink it up and he only draws a home game against one of the Top 4 teams in conference (excluding us obv). Any other year, this team probably wins 18-20 games and is a 11 to 8 seed in the tournament. Making this thread unnecessary. -

Gimme a grad transfer or JUCO 4/5 player with the rest of the roster holding serve and I am extremely happy. -

Listening to Robin Washut on 'Game Time' has me a little worried. According to Robin, it was Miles who reached out to Moos and wanted to pitch his 5 year plan. Could be interpreted as a last effort to save his job. Meeting is taking place today. Robin thinks we'll know Timmy's fate in a couple days --> contract extension (no brainer to me) or moving on. -
Okay we have the typical doom and gloom post

I believe Jaren Jackson from MSU will also be gone. I think he is a projected lottery pick. -
