  1. Noticed that rivals has Parker as a three-star... Not that it makes any difference, IMHO. I think it was said that it is ESPN that has him ad a 4*
  2. Like our chances if this is essentially his top 3. Seems like we are in on a lot of good prospects. I don't recall this kid being on anyone's 2017 wish list on another thread and he's a freaking 4 star.
  3. Let's atleast let kid play some games for us before we write him off as a waste of a scholarship.
  4. However it shakes out I think we reel in another really good class.
  5. Arop is more than likely already N. I doubt the staff would pull his schollie bc he his going to be a great defender and has really improved his ball handling plus he has a great work ethic. I see us signing a 3 man class next year, but four is totally possible with the annual average of two transfers per team. So I would go with Arop, Batts, Flagg, and Sims. But there are also some other good players out there I wouldn't mind signing like Bede, Teddy Allen, and another C.
  6. And Malcolm Laws switched to #13, was #15 last year.
  7. Did he commit somewhere else already? We weren't in his top 5.
  8. Not to sound like a sore loser but he was pretty low on my priority list compared to other prospects we are in on.
  9. You must not be counting Jacobson's hair.
  10. On another thread, it says we're in Isiah Jasey's final 9. He's sites have him at 6'9 and 220. He's listed as a Center. But only ESPN currently has him as a 4-star -- Scout has downgraded him to 3 -- and he appears to have dropped out of Rivals 150 altogether. Must have had a rough junior campaign.Seems to be similiar height and weight of Morrow, Jacobson, and Horne. I had a bigger bodied recruit in mind. Preferably north of 240. That being said he seems to be a decent talent at the very least and maybe his frame will allow him to add on weight easily.
  11. At the very least, Horne's body seems more B1G-ready than Morrow's was this time last year. Actually, will Morrow ever weigh more than Horne? Morrow is listed at 225 and Horne is listed at 220. Plus I'm sure Morrow is significantly stronger at this point in their careers.Morrow is actually the heaviest player on the team aside from Jordy. Horne is a strong rebounder who also has a fairly refined set of offensive skills. He and Morrow will compliment each other nicely.Agreed. I am anticipating we will have our best front court of the Miles era.
  12. Looking at the offers that have been given out I'm surprised we aren't pursuing more Centers. I was just looking at the roster and aside from Jordy we don't have a player that weighs more than 225. Would like to get another big body to back up Jordy.

  14. Robin had a good premium write up on the Top 50 showcase for instate talent. Without giving too much away seems like Arop, Chang, and Allen are currently the only in state players with a shot at becoming future huskers. Also good information on Chandler, Strom, and Wingett.
  15. Definitely a poor man's comparison that doesn't take into account a plethora of variables that could determine if this year's team is better than last years.
  16. Also, since this is an extremely basic comparison it doesn't account for the significance of an upgrade or down grade at each position.

Bakari Evelyn v. Jr. Evan Taylor EDGE: Tie This is using my predicted starters, rotation, assumed progression of returning players, and assumed impact of newcomers for next year versus last years team. With the bench players I had to mix and match a little bit so I was comparing a gaurd with a gaurd, a forward with a forward, etc so it is far from a perfect science. But my calculations come out to be 7-3-1 in favor of this year's team. This would match the theme on this board that this year's team will be more talented (on paper) than the previous one.
  18. Yes we show up but when we are actually good and playing for something I think the atmosphere is/will be pretty electric (i.e. Wisconsin 2013-14). Obviously that is a really small sample size but if we are playing for the things Michigan State and Indiana are typically playing for I think our crowd responds accordingly. Until then we will continue to be a mild crowd imo.
  19. Once Miles gets us rolling, we will be in the top 3. No better fans than Husker fans.
  20. In optimistic about next year. Could definitely see us climbing into a middle tier finish and I wouldn't be surprised at all.
  21. Sad sad news. Prayers go out to both of their families.
  22. Assuming an offer would be coming soon if we're gonna pursue him.
  23. Not only is Teddy Allen lighting it up, he is now one of three local players to hold a P5 offer (Arop and Chang) as Iowa State just offered. I still think Chandler's going to get bigger offers, too. A lot of schools are going after higher targets right now, but as they commit, a 6-9 kid with Chandler's athletic ability might look pretty good by October. Wingett also possible. Definitely some major talent in the state right now.
