  1. https://twitter.com/CoachMiles/status/747075023127470080 Good. He obviously has to keep it tasteful publically. But man I would love to see what he is saying to the team behind closed doors.
  2. I really hope Miles can spin this into motivation for the team. AW3 basically is saying he doesn't think the other players are good enough to help him get where he needs to be (i kniw when i was an athlete and teammate this would've pissed me off). If I were the coaching staff I would plaster AW3s face all over the practice facilities as a constant reminder. Of course this might not work for everyone but it sure as hell would motivate me.
  3. I don't know about a particular team but I will say the ACC conference. I think he goes to the east coast to be closer to home. I don't really know about other schools needs and scholarship situations though.
  4. Someone stated in a different thread that if AW3 turned pro (at the time it was NBA or Nebraska for AW3) Tai would also be leaving (not sure if it's a transfer or overseas ball).
  5. Miles is very outspoken and given the timing and the talent AW3 possesses I'm sure we wasn't very pleased. I would be very upset if I was a coach, who gave him advice during the NBA draft, and when the player is suppose to get ahold of you, he instead goes to the AD to ask if he could transfer. At least ask me if you want to transfer, and don't wait a month after announcing you are coming back to school. Right. I don't know or claim to know anything about what supposedly goes on behind the scenes, but from what I can tell Miles was as helpful as you could ask for throughout AW3's draft process and, on the surface, it seems like AW3 screwed him and the team over.
  6. This stuck out to me as well. If he couldn't make us better, he's not gonna make a Duke or Kentucky better. He needs a creator around him. He is a great shooter and rebounder, but teams can game plan for him. If i remember correctly, after he put up 35 against Penn state, he scored 8 against them next time. I would've loved to see him stay but I won't miss his selfishness if what we are hearing is true.I feel the same way. AW3 is a talent that will be missed but if he wasn't going to be 100% "N" he would've just hurt the teamed and stalled progress.

  8. OWH article on the situation was solid. It stated that during the draft process, AW3 was asked (Something along the lines of), "if you are an NBA caliber player, why did your teams record reflect so poorly?" Obviously we who follow the program no the reasons why: youth, inexperience, undersized. But apparently that question really stuck with him/ bothered him.
  9. My guess is he goes somewhere east closer to home. Virginia have any openings? They are a regular 1-4 seed in the tourney recently.
  10. I'm an extremely optimistic person so bear with me:-Four sophomores who all got valuable experience and started games for us last year. -A talented senior combo gaurd who made a huge jump last year and has gotten better every year he has been here (same with AW3 situation; Tai is on the team until he says he isnt) -Miles track record with transfers makes me feel comfortable saying that Anton will be 10+ PPG for us next year. -Another talented recruiting class coming in. Could be worse, but like I said I'm an optimist.
  11. Game 1 Starters - Glynn Watson - Tai Webster - Jack McVeigh - Edward Morrow - Michael Jacobson Bench - Anton Gill - Isaiah Roby - Jordy Tshimanga - Jeriah Horne - Nick Fuller So basically we need no injuries, Tai back, we need Anton to make a first year impact like Petteway and White did, no sophomore slumps from last years class, and the incoming freshmen need to be READY to play. If all of this stuff goes are way we will be fine lol.
  12. Grad transfer rules need to be changed. Leaving this late isn't fair to teams and coaches. It's way too late to replace AW3.
  13. In now way is this good for Nebrasketball. Unless finishing at the bottom of the Big Ten is good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If AW3 is carrying a me first mentality, it definitely is good for the team. A team can be talented and still not perform well if it has internal issues and everyone isn't on the same page. See Nebrasketball 2014-15 We are not winning more games without White no matter how much you want that to be true. Next year is likely to be very ugly again unless we are able to pull a few rabbits out of a hat on the recruiting trail. No offense to Roby and Horne...but it's not fair to be huge expectations on them as freshman and we will be needing them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Never said we would win more games. I said that if AW3 has a "I'm more concerned about my draft stock than this team" type mentality than it is good for the team that he is leaving. An event leading to more wins and an event being better for the well being of a team aren't the same thing.
  14. So is AW3 the biggest grad transfer of the season? It will be intersting to see where he lands.

  16. I can shoulder the blame lol. Looks like we don't want White back anyway. Yes, he is a major loss in terms of talent but if him and Miles were really clashing that hard it would not have been good for the team.
  17. Brian Rosenthal made a good point in one of his tweets: it probably wouldn't have been too good of an idea to have a young team being led by a senior who is most concerned about enhancing his draft status. (Something along those lines) AW3 is obviously more concerned about himself and his future than the Nebraska basketball team. I'm not here to judge AW3, but at the end of the day it's probably best for AW3 and the development of our young players, that we part ways. It definitely sucks and puts a damper on next season but what can you do.
  18. So if I recall correctly, this means Tai is out too then? I sure as hell hope not.
  19. Kinda was expecting this since he said, "I will return for another season of college basketball". But I was trying to stay positive. This news really takes the wind out of the sails as I, along with many others, was really excited for next year. Here's to hoping Roby and Horne come ready to play.
  20. LeBron likes to refer to all of Northeast Ohio as his home. That's kinda what I was getting at.
  21. Any chance we play UNO again this season? Would love that.
  22. Glad the Cavs won. Gotta be excited for a man who came back to his hometown to win em a championship.
  23. I was just making the comparison between the two teams PG. Bogut being out is definitely helping the Cavs. As is Igoudala being slowed by his back injury bc he has shown an ability to slow down and frustrate LBJ. Without Bogut and a healthy Iggy, LBJ has been doing whatever he pleases offensively.
  24. Plus Curry has had a pretty crappy finals. Kyrie Irving is scoring more points, dishing out more assists, shooting better from the field, and turning the ball over less than Curry is.
  25. Though conspiracies are fun. It's also not hard to believe that the team with the best player in the world (LBJ) was able to win back to back games to even the series.
