  1. Math was never my strong suit so can't really help you on that other than don't divide by zero. And don't factor in potato. Unless it's the numerator. Because everyone knows potato divided by 1 equals potato. BUT potato divided by potato equals 1. ? Just sayin.
  2. Arop suffering a catastrophic leg injury that caused him to lose an entire season of his prep career after he committed was also not part of the deal. And going to prep for a year was MANIFESTLY a good move for him.
  3. Has anyone suggested he attend prep school for a year? ? Too soon?
  4. Has anyone suggested to him that he attend prep school for a year? ? Too soon?
  5. Thanks, man. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to join us any time. We're partisan but usually not to the point of assholery, and we're about as chill as any passionate group of fans can be about their team. Can you come up with a ratings system for our board's inside jokes? Like recruits committing to southern teams in spite of the fact they have kudzu, and nothing being official until Brian Rosenthal tweets it?
  6. Why do you think I started posting videos? BBall season is too short; BBall off-season is far too long.
  7. Iowa State. Just guessing.

  11. Someone do the math. Does the 80/20 rule apply?
  12. Shit. How did they get a commit and we didn't even get a visit?
  13. As long as it's CU and not us, I'm OK with a little schadenfreude.
  14. I'm not going to criticize the Frost hire or the decision to terminate Riley. Not going to criticize the decision to fire Bo and hire Riley. I felt Frost was a good hire at the time. I'm not going to try to make any argument now that he either is or isn't. What I do want to say is that I think he's made some mistakes with the locker room since he's been here. I think it was a big mistake to diss the outgoing staff and criticize the "culture" he inherited. You can talk about trying to instill a particular culture if you want to, but you can do that without telling the players that the coach they originally committed to sucked ass. Notwithstanding the on-field results, there was probably a lot of loyalty the upperclassmen felt toward the prior staff and loyalty is a virtue. They might take some of those "culture" comments personally and that might affect the degree of "buy-in" Coach Frost is seeing now.
  15. OK, that's kinda what I wanted to know. Stated more specifically, was it something you heard, or the fact that we haven't been hearing things? And so the answer would be both. Lack of hearing anything publicly has reinforced what you've been told privately. I think I've got it now.
  16. OK, thanks. So, basically it's not anything that you've heard; it's more what you haven't heard, correct?
  17. Mmmmmm, Old Country Buffet
  18. Why do you say that about Chan. I'm curious. He's a sophomore and we'll have him for 3 years. That's a long time to have someone ride the pine. And I thought Huskerpapa had some inside source telling him Chan was going to be a good offensive weapon. So, just curious why you would say you don't expect he'll contribute too much. Thanks
  19. I think Copeland and Roby are interchangeable up front.
  20. We're going to have a shit ton of junior guards next year if no one leaves and everyone arrives. TA, Nana, Thor, Dachon and now Jervay. Plus you have Chan, and we're evidently looking at maybe another juco big to replace Copeland, who would likely come in as a junior next year. That's a lot of juniors on one team. IMO, Nana needs to grow another couple of inches and put on about 15 pounds so he can play the 4. Stretch 4, but the 4 nevertheless.
  21. Jasmine started 31 games last year in the backcourt. It's her spot in the starting lineup that needs to be filled. When Taylor was starting, she wasn't starting at the expense of Jasmine; she was starting at the expense of Nicea, mostly. I suppose it's possible they'll both start this year, Taylor and Nicea. Which one is the more typical 2-guard? I think your scenario is maybe probable, fastbreaker, but it's not so obviously locked down that you look at the roster and think there's no other way this would go. You have to replace a guard in the lineup and there are just a couple of options, frankly. Heck, it could be Sam Haiby. If you want traditional backcourt skill sets, you're looking for someone with some quickness and ball skills in the backcourt, right? That's most likely Kristian and Sam. I could see a scenario where Kristian starts alongside Hannah in the backcourt, and Nicea, Taylor, and maybe Maddie are fighting for 2 other spots along the front line with Kate. I don't think it's automatic that our top 5 returning players from last year are your new starting lineup. That could well be the way it turns out, and it might even be probable, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.
  22. She started a ton of games in her career at FIU (87), dished a ton of assists (135 last year), and scored a ton of points (420 last year). I suppose there's a temptation to pencil her into the starting lineup based on those numbers. But she also turned the ball over a ton (116 -- Whitish lead NU with 77) on a team that only won 8 games last year. My guess is she'll play and maybe play a lot. But she might be a sparkplug off the bench rather than jumping into the vacancy in the starting lineup. She's only 5'5", shot a respectable 34% on threes a year ago, and fills the stat sheet with points, rebounds, assists, and steals. Her size and ball security are the question marks.
  23. Love the cards. Attach it to a lanyard around my neck and leave it in the glove box so that it's always there when I go to the game and I don't have to run back to the house to get the tickets or something.
