  1. Maybe not quite the shooting numbers you'd hope to see in a Hoiberg offense. But he has a year to sit out and work hard on that shot. Season Totals season Team 2018-19 WKU FG FG% 3PT 3P% FT FT% OR DR REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS 39-97 40.2 8-37 21.6 19-34 55.9 16 76 92 65 16 14 27 52 105
  2. A little bit of JPJ driving to the basket in those highlights.
  3. One similarity is that they are both able to hit mid-range looks off the bounce. IMO, they have similar perimeter jumpers. Cross is a better ball handler, passer, and leaper.
  4. I can see the comparison. I wouldn't say "poor man's" Horne. I would say Cross is springier than Jeriah; has better ups. Horne might have been a better outside shooter at the same age. But you don't see much video of Jeriah Dunking or blocking shots. I think that's because Jeriah wasn't as explosive. And I think Cross has better interior moves. But, other than that, I see some similarities, sure.
  5. Hopefully the ones who don't wear fur.
  6. We have offered a big number of incredibly high ranking 2020 basketball recruits. And I don't think we're done yet. But given the numbers of spots available at this point, it looks to me like Hoiberg & Co. are recruiting over some people. And I'm not suggesting who I think those people are. I'm just saying we're pursuing more cats than we have room in the bag, if you know what I'm saying.
  7. Yes, if by "any day" you mean August.
  8. Are they talking about OUR Martinez?
  9. Still shows Roby, though. And it also shows a couple of Miles' staff, Greg Eaton and Matt Holt. Have they been retained?
  10. Someone said Hoiberg is good friends with Suggs' dad. If that's true, why haven't we offered yet? Take advantage of whatever connections you have to bring in top-shelf talent.
  11. Agreed. And agreed. And agreed.
  12. Lot of familiar names in this list: https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/under-armour-association-the-evans-awards Best shooter: Wilcher Best scorer: Suggs Best motor: Bryce Thompson
  13. Are those 3-point numbers typical of him or just having an off tournament? Because those are not the kind of shooting numbers I would expect us to prioritize in recruiting going forward.
  14. Can you cross-reference against strength of schedule? Colorado is winning but are they playing as tough a schedule as Syracuse? I'm curious.
  15. No, like I said I'm making guesses because there's not much activity with the people who visited before last weekend.
  16. For some perspective, Kenny Goins is listed at 6'7, 230# and averaged almost 9 rebounds for Michigan State this past season. Also, he didn't attempt a single trey his first two seasons in college. As a junior, he attempted 15 and made 4 (26.7%.) Then, as a senior, he was 56 of 163 from downtown, a rate of 34.4%. That's an impressive development and shows it can be done.
  17. Not a lot of movement from people, so I'm going to start making some guesses. Starting with, if Jayce wanted to be here after his visit, he woulda committed then.
  18. That's a good point. And, strictly going by stuff I heard during the season, I think Karrington's recovery is legitimately long. I mean, it was a freakin Achilles. Amir, on the other hand, might be more self-limited. Just sayin.
  19. By acting happy about good news. Almost like what a fan would do.
  20. Don't know if it means anything, but Jervay Green follows her on Twitter.
  21. Being in the left lower quadrant has to be like NCAA Basketball's version of the Mendoza line.
  22. Are you trying to wipe out 37 downvotes in one post?
  23. I'm starting to think with all the recruiting activity we've had, that if a kid hasn't put his name in the transfer portal yet, it's because he's had a talk with the head coach who told him he didn't need to. And I'm fine with that. None of those guys are bad dudes and they aren't going to cause problems in the locker room.
