  5. You may very well be right that this is some sort of subterfuge, but I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing regarding stability. To 49r's point, a 16 member conference may not prove to be stable (same may apply to a 15 member league). Without getting into a discussion of various scenarios, looking at some possibilities mentioned, i.e. 4 pods of 4 teams each, does not sound very appealing where you may not play other members of the conference for, say years.
  6. Here we go Again! This is probably the best thing I've read all day. There is no reason for the B1G to feel like they have to rush into anything. B1G is stability; why would you want to invite instability into the league. I just think we should all be very glad we are full-fledged members of the conference. I'm not sure where we'd wind up if we were still in the Big Twelve.
  7. No doubt the offers are just beginning for Britt Prince, but the final chapter in her recruiting (class of 2024) is still a long way from being written. She should have her pick of where she wants to continue her education and play basketball. Bottom line is, I think we are good enough to attract talented players, particularly in-state (perhaps unlike Taylor McCabe when we didn't know what kind of team we were going to have last season and she committed to Iowa). Well, I think the Huskers demonstrated their characteristic "Grit, NO Quit" last season under Coach Williams, et al; and I think we'll be even more pleased this season. She seems to be very good at developing each players' maximum potential and instilling 'A Will to Win'. Things are looking up for Husker Athletics. I'm particularly impressed with our new AD, Trev Alberts, and believe we are on the cusp of some very good things, including WBB.

  13. You're just full of all kinds of 'Good News' Whoop!!! (jus kidding) We may not have a Caitlin Clark (yet), but I really like our squad and expect us to be Very Competitive in the B1G (unlike last season when everyone was holding their hats expecting the worst only to be pleasantly surprised with an exciting season. I like our chances with Britt Prince given our fan base and attendance and if we develop like I hope. (some excitement from the men's side wouldn't hurt either ) (Certainly not directed at you Whoop - We're all

  16. "Build It and they will Come!" It's downright amazing what strides are being made in wine-making. New AVA's are sprouting up everywhere. Not too long ago wines from Paso Robles (CA) were consistently on the 'rough' side. Then Oregon & Washington State; now all producing renown wines. My niece took us to a winery in Alabama a couple of years ago (pre-covid) that was surprisingly good.
