Sounds like you ought to just host the Husker Hoops Central gathering Cip.

Well, we certainly can't blame this one on the refs.

Thank you for not nesting that quote. <_< Which. I. Just. Did. Don't worry I will, and yes I do. What is he really doing right now for the team? I feel he is desperately needed as he gives us the threat to score, which we certainly need. And he can rise up and get shots off that he is capable of making up against shot clock etc. Certainly doesn't mean that I hope we need him to take so many of these next year though. I don't. I believe I even started a thread that showed my curiousity on if and how this adjustment will go. -
It is always tough to compare a decent college player to an incredible NBA player. I get where you are coming from though. Certainly some similarities to the types of game they play. Pierce obviously a way better shooter.

Gotcha, so you think Miles is doing a poor job with him. Interesting take, and one I do not agree with at all. -
So, anyone know what Creighton did ...

I love how Creighton fans talk out both sides of their ass when it comes to the crappy Valley. -

Hard to consider your critiques of our fans given your history of Husker player bashing. The 'ol glass house concept.... Two different topics and has nothing to do with the other. The only players I "bashed" as you said were Sek Henry and Gallegos. Just honest evaluations of players who I don't think did much or have done much yet have got plenty of playing time. So I'll go wash my glass house now. No need to put "bash" in quotes, 'cause that's exactly what you do to hard-working,decent players who gave the Husker their all over multiple years. And I guess they "didn't do much" other than cause us to win many games that we wouldn't have won without them. As I stated before, just cause you work really hard doesn't make you a good player. I have given credit to many players especially those who were more skilled and people said they didn't work hard like CSH, Diaz, Bear, Jeter, Ubies, and others. Honest evaulation of a player and what their role is and questioning why they play so many minutes is valid. I never said they didn't work hard and weren't a fit for what they did. And honestly, they haven't won many games over the years, let's be honest. Not something to be proud of and hopefully we get the right players who will. Of all the stiffs we've had here in the past 12 years, you singling out those 2 guys just seems pretty strange, and over the top. Way better players than you realize. Who would you have played instead of Sek--all those studs we had on the bench? Who would you play this year instead of Ray? Seriously. Questing his minutes this year when we can put in Menke instead is absurd. Bear, McCray, Beranek, CSH....I wasn't singling them out just stating my point on what I thought of them as a player. And I blame more the Coach and system for not playing the more talented players and holding players back. That's why we have a new coach. I have never bashed Rayes. Unfortunately there isn't any options this year, but jacking up wild 3's off screens from running the baseline all night when you used to penetrate and elevate does no good. Anyone could take the shots he does at any point in the shot clock. I do like Menke as a ball handler. I do like JT as a penetrator. I think Rey needs to pull it back a little. I don't see how giving an opinon on a player is over the top. I assume you are also satified that the football team wins 9 games every year too and would never talk about a player being out played. You need to blame Miles then. He is correctly instructing him to shoot. Thank god you are not in charge of the offense if you don't think he should be shooting. -
As I am in yours. At least you admit we are in your head.

Last home game at Devenay. Minny is my vote. Should be able to make the festivities if it is then. -
yep not a good metric at all in college hoops

Nice call CWG!! My only predicition would have only been Talley. Wouldn't have even considered anyone else as possible I don't believe.

Because the quoted article says the opposite of what Norm was saying earlier, and Norm was, apparently, using the article to support his earlier claim (unless I missed something). I see. I guess I didn't look at it as though I care if Norm was correct or not in the beginning. I cared that he posted the article so we know what is what and that eliminated any confusion for me.

I know we don't play them anymore, well

Pretty much followed the same path as you. What is really surprising to me is that I couldn't help myself but to root for Old Man football this year, even hating Kansas St fans as much as I do. Never would have expected that. -
Whether you like Dirk or not. I find it amusing that people actually think he makes stuff up. So your telling me that the Omaha World Herald allows one of their columnist to make stuff up. I find that funny. I would find that funny as well. What I find funnier though, is that one cannot differentiate somebody being thought of as a liar versus an extrememe stat cherry picker.
-
So you don't like good insight based on factual and analytica information, I understand. You probably don't believe in evolution either. What specific articles has Dirk made up that you think it's so ridiculous that people like his work? I will get around to going back and reading all of his articles to find this after I get done listening to all of Matt Peraults podcasts.
-
You actually believe his stuff? Wow. Thank goodness there all kinds in this world. Good insight. OMG, you can't make this up people. So you don't like good insight based on factual and analytica information, I understand. You probably don't believe in evolution either.
-
He just posted the article work for word. Not sure how you could still be confused.
-
The good news is since I have such low regard for his knowledge and ability and he brings nothing to the table for me, I don't need to read his stuff. Doesn't sound like I am missing much.

If Thomas somehow struggles, they don't have any sure things to pick them up offensively. Very limited scoring options. They do match up well with us on the other end though and it will be a challenge to score.
-
Yeah there were many. NU Student was just the most outspoken so I remember his comments better. Some people saw his upside though.
-
I do not remember who... but I do remember some calling him out saying he could not cut it. Kind of reminds me of the same people calling out Benny already. I am not calling Benny out, but I don't think he is ever going to be good here. He sure didn't help matters last night either.
-
Boy some folks like NU student were badly mistaken regarding this kid.
-
Very poor coaching job by Miles defensively. Needed to slow this game down with a zone. We obviously didn't have anyone that could keep anyone in front of them. Man just makes a bad matchup worse. Yeah, I know zone makes it tough to rebound. Well so does rotating on pick on roll help. Better off making them shoot from deep, take our chances the ball bounces our way and slow them down. We did go to in late in first half and worked a little bit at least. Should have been in that the entire game.

Large allotment of my money on Wisconsin/Ohio St under 120.5 today. As for our game, I am tempted to play it small, but just cannot bring myself to do it. Not a good situation or matchup for us tonight. Hope we can hang in there but I am afraid we are going to have our hands full.

Nebraska is not winning this ballgame.
