Agree. Not easy for Valley teams to accomplish, not even being near the top of the mid majors. Most elite players won't get excited about playing in a league like that.

Good point on Rey's defense. I thought Andre was sensational on defense and was actually moving pretty well. That is why I thought he was easily player of game, but after further consideration looking back at Rey's solid defense it is closer than I first thought. I could really care less. Just thrilled we won the game.

For one, this should be moved to college basketball forum. For two, my god people overreact sometimes. We will be sizeable dogs against Creighton. They are far better than we are this year. And that won't change even if we upset them. It is a game of basketball and shooting is dramatic on any given night in a one game situation. Creighton is better than Boise. We are probably better than Kent on our home court. We would often lose to Wake on that court. Lets not overreact folks. And really no need at all to discuss Creighton basketball on the main forum at our Husker Board. That is exactly what moronic Creighton fans like to do here since they don't have such quality boards of their own and for some reason feel very threatened by our program.

That is pretty obvious. It is also pretty obvious that our offense will largely hinge on how Rey goes. He is going to be the guy taking the most shots aside from the guys your mentioned as being the rocks. Thus my thought process on our offense going as Rey goes. Not that everyone didn't already know that, as it has basically worked that way so far to a large degree.

Since I am the only one that mentioned schemes, I can say you couldn't be more wrong. I am the furthest thing from results oriented there is. A couple other people discussed the specifics of the pick and roll defense. I don't know who exactly talking specifics was basing anything on results. I know for sure I don't. But you admitted you didn't watch the game very closely, so perhaps you were being a bit too results oriented in watching Valpo miss a couple threes.

Miles understands defensive rotations very well. Like his scheme a lot. It is good to see he understands this aspect of the game as well as he does. It will be needed to win here. That is the best thing I can take away. We won't be a sacraficial lamb at the arc like Doc's help just to help scheme.

Yeah Talley very impressive to this eye. Not a guy I necessarily knew would buy into the little things. The court spacing he provides is excellent also.
