Need Illinois to win I think.

After a very surprising RPI helper the other night, they are right back to getting boatraced by mediocre teams.

It would sure make the Wisconsin game more interesting that is for sure, as well as the rest of the season. Our margin for error is so slim, but my goal for the team remains to play in the NCAA tournament without having to win the Big !0 Tournament. That goal becomes WAY more difficult if we lose today.

You want more scoring, defensive 3 seconds if not closely guarding someone is one thing that is needed. Not saying, I personally want or need more scoring, but that is one of the best ways of doing it. Combine this with a trapezoidal line and you will have more freedom in the paint. Backing up the 3 point line a little would probably help open up space as well.

Penn St. favored by 4.5-5 points. Not going to be easy.

Think your are underestimating the pace fo play in a game against Northwestern. They don't attack the offense glass so they can be back on defense. They don't press, even when down big. They play slow. I don't see any reason to be unsettled about anything you mentioned, at least based on our play this evening. My wallet is a little unsettled after playing the under in the 2nd half and getting a bit unlucky in the last several possesions to lose by 2.

Yeah it is biazarre. In some ways our offense was more functional the first year with Talley transitioning to a scoring point guard role well. We were so talent starved, our offense now should not be similarly challenged.

What are peoples thoughts on the ball handling ability of White? Can he help handle the ball if we were to go bigger and have Petteway White Shields Morrow Pitchford lineup? We would not be large in the middle obviously, but we would be very long and have incredible backcourt size.

Michigan is well coached and did a great job tonight. Had their team far more ready to play than Miles had us ready to. And then outadjusted Miles big time at the half. Another scenario where I am wondering if losing Smith hurts us more than I thought. Not sure Miles is quite as good at X and O as I once thought and Smith may well be why.

This might be exhibit A on why we just need to let Petteway fire away as much as he likes. Our offense sucks if he doesn't score. Might just have to live with some questionable shot selection. Not exactly sure what the right answer is. But this is not a good loss. Very mediocre, albeit extremely well coached outfit, this Michigan bunch.

Getting outcoached in this one big time. He is one of the best so Miles won't be the only one it happens to. This is not a good Michigan club we are facing.

line has gone from a hour shaded to michigan to 3.5. That is a better sign than it would seem to be to the casual gambler or people that don't gamble at all. It is not stupid money coming in on Nebraska.

Wish I was as confident as many of you guys in these next two. We are going to be significant underdogs in both. Realistically we would be doing very well to get one. That damn Indiana game is one I would like to have back.

Was very bad defense obviously. I was expecting to see a reasonably lenghty two or a three point attempt by Iowa at the gun to attempt to win the game. Was thinking to myself in womens game they probably cannot do an Tyus Edney type play in that amount of time. Well desigined play by Iowa but that cannot and should not happen.

Does RPI treat the Hawaii game as a true road game or a neutral court game since it was in a tournament?

I should have made it more clear. Guess I had a thought in my head that Parker should be breaking presses instead of Leslie, and neglected to consider that there was another Smith who certainly belonged in there for press break since he was in there.

After watching back the end. We ran 5 press breaks with L. Smith in for Parker. We struggled mightiliy and this is what caused my frustration in the first place. At the 1 minute mark we did go small exclusively taking Smith out on both offense and defefse for the lineup of T. Smith, Parker, Tai, Sheilds, Petteway. We no longer struggled against the pressure at that point. I think Miles could have still played the offense defense game with Leslie but probably thought we matched up better with their perimiter players on defense also by going small. So it turns out that Miles did get it figured out eventually after five possessions of struggling with the press with Leslie in for Parker.

Were you talking about Leslee in your first couple of posts? Yes, thought it would be obvious but I was wrong.

And not sure why everyone wants to continuing arguing that T. Smith should be in over Parker. He was and I think everyone agrees with that.
