  1. LJS article about Shepard, plus photos of team members. "Connie Yori could have had to turn on the TV and watch Jessica Shepard playing college basketball for another team. “Oh, I would have been sick to my stomach,” the Nebraska coach said of the thought of that happening." http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/womens-basketball/women-s-basketball-program-s-next-chapter-begins-with-shepard/article_61ec2e41-e952-5f8b-b55e-ed98cf59d68f.html

  2. ...and I will also add, and will likely get roasted for this opinion, but my observation is that the FB team may indeed be building something solid. I guess time will tell, but the redshirt freshmen coming in may be a special group and our youngsters seem to be solid. If we rid ourselves of some of the bad apples, the future may once again be much brighter.

  4. A few goals: - No more than 3 losses pre-Big Ten. - Place somewhere in the 6 to 8 range in the Big Ten - One win in the Big Ten tournament - In the running for NCAA, perhaps make it...if so, win one in the dance - If NIT, win two to three games. Perhaps reachable goals. Pretty possible in my pea-brain.

  5. i want to see more consistent PG play. PG is one the one position that has been mediocre at best for the last several years. I want to see us get over the hump with Creighton. We need to get this series back under control and in our favor. In general I want to see this program finally get its feet on the ground, where from year to year there isn't so much upheaval. I want to be talking about us as a potential bubble team come February. Finish the season strong.

  6. Nick Fuller is a good kid and I hope he does well in life. When I saw Nick play at the scrimmage, other than not connecting on and open three pointer, I thought he looked like his Game head really come a long way. Nick's problem is not that he hasn't improved enough to contribute. Nick's problem is that, with our recruiting, our roster has improved enough that Nick isn't likely going to be able to find minutes even with his improvement. There are just so many good players in that part of the roster anymore. I feel bad for Nick because of it, but he chose to return and that will probably now mean that he will continue to ride the pine notwithstanding his improvement.
