I was being facetious in the above post, but it turns out I was accidentally right. Kenpom ranks Incarnate Word as the #159 team in the nation, while St. John's is #210. Incarnate Word was, I thought, a pretty solid team last year and good enough to beat some good teams if you don't bring your "A" game, which we didn't last year and it doesn't appear St. John's did this year either.

Also illustrates once again that being a good player does not necessarily extrapolate into being a good coach. In fact, playing skills are probably inversely related to success as a coach. The best coaches seem to be ones who make the best of modest skills in their playing days and keenly observe from the bench.

Coming into the game IW was at 228 and St. Johns was up to 165 after knocking off Syracuse soundly. That's a lot bigger shift in rankings than I would expect but it will shift back once IW starts playing teams that aren't either top rated or non-Div 1.
