College Sports Madness is also doing a pre-season bracketology and as they announce the new teams in their Top 44 pre-season countdown they're placing them in their mock tournament bracket. They have Nebraska as a 10 seed going up against 7 seed Dayton.

Don't recall where I got this from, but I understand Clark is getting up to speed pretty well, as is Rachel T. 

 

Jess still a little behind maybe. (Just don't see any need to push her before she's healthy and ready.  She'll mean to much in the future to have the injury be bothersome long term.)

 

We should field a pretty good squad come this weekend. Maybe a little green in spots....but that's the deal most everyone has in the "pre-season".  Austrailia experience gives us a big jump start.

I agree on the reporting aspect.  We get more and quicker women's BB articles from the Omaha WH then from the home town Lincoln Journal.  It would also be nice to see articles receive more front sports page priority then stuck on page 4 or 5.  Maybe the success of this team will help that happen.  Certainly fans clamoring for more can't hurt.

I envy everyone who can get there in person for all or most of the games but due to distance can only make a couple.  Watch the rest on TV that are on and get BTN plus which helps.  Follow the rest reading the OWH and LJS online.  Look forward to coach Yori's post game comments on Huskers.com.

I know In past posts I've been high on Rachel B. even though I have not seen her play yet, but for Coach Yori to give her such early high praise I have to believe with her and Jess our post positions will be in great shape for years to come.  Lots of depth there also.

  Didn't I hear Clark was a pretty good shooter ?

 

Many of our injuries are getting healed up at the perfect time. Will help a ton, with just a few real games (Aussy) played early, with Clark, Shepard, and Blackburn on the floor too.... is huge.

 

Just need a couple more guards to get up to speed.

The way both Jasmine and Esther ran out unto the court when they were introduced last Thursday night at the Nebraska Live event in PBA, it looked as if both weren't very far off from being released to full playing status. And we should have both back fairly soon!

 

I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Good post.  I hadn't seen it before even though I scour everything I can find.  One thing that is becoming obvious to me is that it takes awhile after changing conferences to absorb all the changes that occur and then reset your strategy accordingly.  Unlike the FB team Coach Yori has done this and you are just starting to see the results in such things as recruiting, hiring of new assistant coaches, timing of the Australia trip, new facilities etc.  May not be ready to win a national championship this year but just making the top ten would be a great achievement.  I get to go to Sunday's game.  GO BIG RED.
