Wow CWG, you are cold-blooded. A story of a local Central High grad that is very active in the north Omaha community that has to give up playing the sport he loves is posted and you ding the poster's reputation?!? Have you no heart even in this holiday season?

I have plenty of heart...but Tony has stated that he "was gone" yet he keeps reappearing. Amazing. I wish Josh the best. I will go over to the BlueJay site and read about it (but not troll and post). But not here. By the way, my sister is a diehard Jay fan and I respect the program, but I choose not to come to the dungeon and read about it. So, this is not a reflection on the health issue suffered by Josh, rather the individual who chose to post it. Sorry!

Fair enough.

Hilarious post coming from you Tom! If roles were reversed you would be the first person to bitch and moan on the bluejay board that something Husker related was put on your board.

That's why I posted it under "College Basketball", instead of "HHC Devaney Dungeon." If there was not a "College Basketball" forum, I would not have posted it. Have a Happy new Year.

I didn't quote your post. Unless you are claiming you and Creighton Fan are one in the same? Which would not surprise me. Creighton Fan's name is Tom. And the only reason I use his first name is because he went to Matt Perrault to get my email address from Rivals and used it against me on the old Dungeon board. Because of this it wasn't very difficult for me to find out his information. Karma is a bitch.

Publicly disclosing someone else's private information on a message board without their knowledge and permission is a line that you just don't cross, in my opinion. Unless you're doing it back to someone who did it to you, in which case I guess what goes around comes around. But the general idea that someone would post someone else's private details is just beneath contempt. That's a line you just don't cross. Some people choose to use their real names and that's their choice. Others choose anonymity and that's a choice that should be respected.

But I have witnessed plenty of instances of that happening on another board where someone posts identifying information about someone else. And it's disturbing that there are moderators out there who would divulge that kind of information to certain posters. And totally crappy of those posters to then exploit that information by posting it publicly. And both the moderators who allow it and the people who do it are low-life POSs in my book. And there's a reason I don't go to that other board anymore.

Great point....we do have a college bball section for a reason...to discuss other teams and players...and this is about a great kid connected to college ball.

I have to admit I also have tremendous empathy for this kid, since I was also diagnosed as a senior in high school with the need for aortic valve replacement...(in 1969, that was the end to competitive sports)...that Jones could still compete at the college level is quite a story.

I agree. I would never give out anyone's personal information on any board unless of course....they did it to me. In this instance someone ran to Matt Perrault and got my school email adress I used a long time ago. With that he used my last name and the school I went to against me on the previous board. Little did he know it wouldn't take much for me to find out his information. The funny thing is when it came back to bite him in the butt he cried foul. But like you said, what goes around comes around.

I don't have any problem with Jones....or the story. But it should be known that if something Husker related was posted on the Creighton board it would be torn to shreds. And I guarentee the two Creighton fans who posted in this thread would be the two ring leaders. I'm not sure what Tony posts under on the Creighton boards but pretty much everyone on this board is use to Creighton Fan and all his other aliases.

And again, my karma downgrade was due to the poster who implied he was leaving and not coming back, not the subject matter. I have explained that point (in a satisfactory manner) to "Creighton Fan."

Thanks for sharing. Often, it is those that have also gone through adversity that have the most empathy for others. It was hard for me to relate to those that had disabilities/chronic illnesses until my youngest daughter was born with many health problems 13 years ago. She still has a trach for breathing and gets all of her nutrition through a G-button. As a result we moved to Omaha and I changed jobs. It was very tough for a while but now I couldn't be happier (Working with high school kids who are too sick to attend regular school.) It's funny how God always works things out for the best. I'm sure that he did for you and that he will for Josh, also.

"CreighTony", and I am sorry if I have ruffled some feathers. I'm probably not a ring leader, but do enjoy some friendly banter.

Holy cow, I just saw this.  I don't know what to say.

First of all, as I have said previously, my first name is John.  It says so on my birth certificate, my wife calls me John and everyone who I've met my entire life has called me John.

I met Perrault after a Creighton game at Farrell's once, but I've never emailed him.  I do think he's a bit of a jerk and am glad he's gone.

If you recall, I offered to meet anyone from this board before or at the half of the Creighton-Nebraska game.  I have nothing to hide and would have liked to meet Nebraska fans that are actually passionate about basketball.  Nobody took me up on the offer though.

The silence is deafening........and here I thought most lawyers were good at lying.

FWIW, as far as I know neither of these guys are DoubleJ..I can see account and network information.

That you guys think every single Creighton fan who trolls this site is DoubleJ is borderline annoying because it makes me feel sympathetic to people that at best are contributing to off topic college talk.
