Former Husker Danielle Page scored 12 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds while adding two assists to power Serbia to a 76-68 upset of top-seeded France in front of more than 5,000 fans at the Eurobasket Women's Championship at the Budapest Sports and Events Arena on Sunday.

The victory earned Serbia an automatic bid into the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 2016 Olympic Summer Games are set for Aug. 5-21.

Page, a 6-2 forward from Monument, Colo., has been one of the top professional players in France since graduating from Nebraska in 2008. She is in her first year as a member of the Serbian National Team. Page completed the required paperwork to gain Serbian citizenship following the end of her seventh professional season in Europe this spring. Page's professional career began with one season as a member of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun in 2008.

Page is set to become just the second Nebraska women's basketball player in history to claim a spot on an Olympic Team. Page's former teammate Chelsea Aubry was a captain for the 2012 Canadian Olympic Team.
