No Dana Janssan from Northeast? No Bill Jackman? Just kidding, let's keep in mind there's not even 2 million people in the whole State of Nebraska. A Metro area like Mpls/St. Paul, which really isn't that big, has 3 million. It's a numbers thing more than a DNA thing or a "Something" in the water thing...

if you all want to know and this is just those born in Nebraska not played at Nebraska http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/birthplaces.cgi?country=US&state=NE

Good list. I'd also be interested in a list of NBA players who graduated from a Nebraska H.S.

you might try google...that's how I found this list.....

lol..or try the same site this list was on.  I just found it...although...I'm going to let you find it too...just in case there's something else you'd like to find out there.

nah....not going to take you directly to the page...but here's the page where you get to the page you want: http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/

That's a fairly comprehensive site, thanks for finding that 'needle in a haystack' Nighthawk. ;)

Just read this thread and have to correct the jay: Alex Stivrins is not a doctor. His brother,Tim, is the internist in Lincoln who happens to be the person who has kept me punching away at the keyboard for all these years. His late father was an ophthalmologist in Lincoln for many years as well. Had to set the record straight even though it was a bit off topic. Lots of football and baseball players would make the pro list. I guess the wind blows too hard to develop a shooting touch on an outdoor hoop like Indiana. Or maybe the German/Czech/Bohunk stock that settled the farms in Nebraska was a more stubby gene pool from which to draw.
