ESPN has upgraded their bracketology this morning and they have the Huskers as a 5 seed facing Quinnipiac winner of the MAA Conference in the first round. Not sure how this works and maybe they're just throwing teams in anywhere, but should the Huskers win the first round game there's a good chance (according to their bracket) we would play Duke in the second round. I could be mistaken but I thought tourney is set up where you don't have the possibility to play anyone in the first and second rounds that you had played in the regular season. They have us in the UConn bracket.

I think what Charlie does is basically an "S Curve"  with procedural bumps, up or down, for other teams to fit into the bracket better.  I think he has basic rules applied where conference teams cant play each other untill at least sweet 16.  I really dont think that Charlie knows everyones schedule from the begining of the season, so I dont think he knows we played Duke.  If he did know, I dont think he really cares about teams that have already played this season at this point because there is an entire month to the season and he is getting the basic teams slotted where they deserved to be based on the S Curve..

I think it should improve somewhat, but a few wins in the Big 10 tourney would really help.

BTW, does anyone think that Maryland might suffer an upset in the Big 10 tourney?  It just seems like some of their games have been a bit closer than usual lately.  I would certainly like to have another shot at them.

just guessing, but, think 5 seed may be a bit high. i was thinking best they could get would be a 7 seed. that would be with a win or two in the B1G tourney. i think if they pull off a win Sunday, it will open some eyes a little wider, once again.

A seven seed would be better than the 9 that is projected of them now. It looks like the huskers might be coming out of their shooting funk as well and romeo is settle in as well

beating Maryland would take a team's best game of the year. i guess it could happen, but, i doubt they lose till they get deeper in the NCAA's. i would have to take a look at how the tourney shed shapes up. Maryland's athleticism is really pushing them thru. watched a couple games on tv where they weren't shooting the ball real well, but, that athleticism carries them. end up getting too many chances at a basket.

Devil's advacate question here, How about we don't go that deep into the B1G tournament to keep our legs free for the big one.

If it means the difference between hosting and not I say go deep, but if it doesn't real help our seating much I would rther have a rested team for the NCAA.

Just a question, doesn't bother me either way.

I tend to agree silver, but the last two years there has been a one to two week period between conference tourney and ncaa's so that would help to get nat some practice time to get comfortable with the offense.

How about lets go deep in the tourney but have the bench play more. Would like to see Kalenta and Jasmine see some meaningful playing time. Both should have seen more playing time against Minnesota. We were up big throughout the second half.

I would agree with that also. Kalen is so offensively minded it would be good to get her some minutes and maybe some fouls on the other team with her going to the rim.

What are the dates of the tourney?

Okay to answer my own question. The tourney starts on March 20th, so that is almost two weeks to get tired legs rejuvinated some what.

Crème has us as a 10 seed playing against Texas A.M. at Texas AM with Louisville as the 2seed. I really really like this if this is the case. I think Louisville could easily be the easiest 2 seed to beat in the tournament if we could get past AM at their place. I like our odds with this scenario than anything else we could be put in.
