Silverbacked1 Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 I like this tweet.https://twitter.com/REALNumeroOcho/status/567869497241022464 So he is talkin about the parents or the kids being the losers? The kid is siding with the coach it seems to me based on his retweet of the following tweet:https://twitter.com/jimmieleepage/status/567789804973469696 Thanks, and I would say he is. Quote
huskerchode Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 According to the following article, Lanie has already signed with KState. Some of the comments are interesting. http://cjonline.com/sports/2015-02-18/emergency-board-meeting-leads-termination-wamegos-jim-page-who-will-finish-season Quote
huskerchode Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Just an update: It might all be falling into place to get Dad Page on the coaching staff. http://www.kstatesports.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/040115aaa.html Also, rumors are swirling that there will be a couple of transfers announced (from what I read on KState board). Bugeaters1 Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Is there an ncaa rule about hiring parents to get the kids to go to there? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Quote
huskerchode Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 It's official - both Page girls are Wildcats. http://kansasstate.scout.com/forums/2672-women-s-basketball/13803344-welcome-to-k-state-lanie-page?s=173 Bugeaters1 1 Quote

I just hope that the coach rips their thin skin ass. Quote
Row6Seat10 Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 It looks like the two spoiled brats got their way as K-State boots two players from last years squad to make room for them. Kansas State announced that former junior college transfers Ashley Jones and Deborah Meeks would be parting ways with the women’s basketball program after just one season. http://m.cjonline.com/sports/2015-04-20/jones-meeks-part-ways-k-state#gsc.tab=0 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 Wow, and wasn't K-sucks that won't release a player like a year or two ago? Quote
hskr4life Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 Wow, and wasn't K-sucks that won't release a player like a year or two ago? Yep... happened just last year actually after they fired their old coach. Quote

huskerchode Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 Feel kind of bad for that younger one. Something tells me she didn't necessarily want to go to KState but dad insisted. Isn't she a bit younger because she skipped a grade or two? It's interesting to read the KState boards. They put quite the spin on things. All in all, we are better off without them and the drama that came with them. And the few minutes that Kaylee did play, I was not impressed at all. Too slow on defense, couldn't get her rhythm shooting, looked lost. I guess that's what happens when you have to spend most of your practice time trying to get back into shape while your teammates are working hard on offense and defense. Quote
atskooc Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 Yes, she skipped a grade so she could play with her sister in high school. Quote
kansashusker Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 she will be 17 in july. started a year early and skipped 8th grade also Quote
huskerchode Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 That's a lot of pressure she endured as a 16 year old. Would be hard to go against dad's wishes. Quote
