Interesting that we are 3 weeks into this, and there is no talk of who Bolt's replacement will be.  I would think we would hear soon, as it's not long until fall practice.  During fall football camp, most everything else gets pushed aside.

Sounds like CSU Fullerton asst Mike Kirby is taking the job. I worked a camp for him in 2011. Great guy and a very good get for NU.

That's a top notch hire.  Hopefully we can keep him around for a few years.  Take it for what it's worth but I have heard some were not so sad to see Bolt go.  It sounds like his approach did not mesh well with the rest of the program.

I agree that this is an exceptional hire.  I have a feeling Kirby may have a head coaching gig in his not so distant future.  I will not take a negative swing at Bolt.  He was a good one and has a bright future.
