OK, I admit that I always root against teams he plays for because his uncanny natural skills make it seem that he has an unfair advantage and he makes bazillions to showcase them. We all love underdogs, right? And this guy seemed to spring from the womb as a fully mature man.

However, now that he has signed for the Cavs, swallowed his ego, made up with their jerky owner, and accepted the fact that he is now in a team building project rather than one which has other superstars, I plan to cut him some slack. After all, he has managed to handle all of the distractions associated with his worldwide stature and income admirably, avoid the taint of illegality and entitlement which seems to affect many of those who achieve his level of success and remember where he started. I, for one, will be pulling for the Cavs (and Lue) next year.

I understand that the contract he signed is for two years with an option to opt out after the first year.  I believe there will be a push to find a way to load up the Cav roster.

Otherwise it could be LeBron giving the team flexibility and himself more money when the salary cap rises in 2 years.

Making a push to load up in the short term is one reason why LeBron left in the first place so we'll see if they make the same mistakes again.

in todays NBA your not winning with one player you need at least 2 legit stars, and than preferred 7-8 quality players to rotate, this deal allows the cavs be flexible, and for LeBron (who is extremely pro player, and wants players making the most money possible) to leverage a new deal, or see what is going on prior to the inevitable lockout in 2017...The owners cant cry were broke, when the clippers, bucks, and the kings all sold for around 2.5 billion dollars.
