I wonder if this is the athletic department's way of transitioning into selling beer at PBA for games...

I'm sure they'll be curious about the sales but this event has nothing to do with the U....they're either all in or all out on alcohol sales.

So this won't sit well with the rail yard people and does everyone else feel about this.

Actually I would think that they would be thrilled!

It will bring people down to the rail yard that might not have come down.

People might have 1 or 2 beers during the game and afterward some of the people will head to the rail yard to watch other games and grab food.

After looking at it that way I could see where that could happen and also get the ones that are a bit tipsy to sober up a bit.

4 dollar beer that is damn cheap, In indy last week their beer stands had 7.50 om them.

Compared to the rest of the places in the area? Not really though it's probably one of the few places you can grab a beer at 10:30 in the Haymarket as most places open at 11 am.  It very well might be a cool place to watch a game but also seems like a place where there is going to be like 30 kids randomly running around.

I think I'm going to set up shop at Barry's on Friday.  They have that wall of TVs which is what I'm looking for on March Madness.

Anyone who wants to join me feel free.  Between a laptop and a HHC Shirt I'll be hard to miss.

N-Zone would be great for a focused Husker view but they don't have a huge number of TVs.

Buffalo Wings and Rings probably will be the best overall NCAA tourney atmosphere.

Brewskys also has the TVs.

Honestly it wont hurt the bars. It will bring people in to the early that will most likely eat down there with it being a noon game.

Agree...and all their complaining about the events during the football season was pretty stupid too.  The arena was open to families that wanted to see the game in a fun atmosphere. Most of the bars and restaurants are so packed with drunk people that they aren't designed for kids...and most of those places are filled way beyond fire safeties.
