The only web site I could find that had the brackets out has us in Corvalus(sp) with Oregon State, UNLV and I think Hofetra. That would not be easy.

Would rather go and play some body we haven't played this year. Especailly OSU who we beat.

I searched yesterday and didnt really find much with updated brackets.  Last week Baseball America had us in as a 3 seed playing in Miami i believe.

Perfect Game has us in: http://perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=9744

I like that one better.

Is it okay if we play the rest of this UNO game without running bases?  Like, either a homerun or an out.  15-5 rn

After the bats were cold for a few weeks they are starting to warm up in a hurry.  I feel bad for NW, they are getting us at the worst time.  I'm hoping to bring my broom on Sunday.

gotta get the first 2 before you worry about broom. And the huskers better pitch well or they could be in for a long weekend as NW has a good offense.

Looks like they are getting the Huskers at the right time.

Lubach's injury looked bad.  He was on crutches after the game. We have no depth at catcher; this looks like a huge loss.  Just a bad, bad night at Haymarket tonight.

At first it looked like he broke his leg, but then it looked like his ankle. Fish should be serviceable. But they will another one to back him up.

When they first showed it on the replay I thought it was one of those broken leg, dislocated ankle that you see in baseball. His ankle was kind of going off a bit at a bad angle.

But when they carried him off and didn't call for a cart I was a bit more upbeat. Still think he is done for awhile.

Also read this today on the LJS comments. "you can't lose to the last place team in the league at home.".

Although kind of harsh it is a fact. Now we need to get the next two so it isn't a lost weekend.

No pop in the lineup.  Van Horn always had one big stick in the line up.  Losing Lubach is going to hurt.  Need to sweep the DH today but it's not looking good in the 6th.

How mentally tough are we? That seems to be where we are losing games now.

Our pitchers have been about as good as can be the last two games, but poor hitting and base running today and yesterday have suddenly raised it's ugly head.

Let's try and get this last one today and then lick our wounds and come back later.

We can probably stick a fork in the regional talk. Win in Omaha or year 3 will go down as another failure of a year.

Did you take your broom for the NW sweep.
ha! I probably should have. Embarrassing display this weekend. This may just kill the at large bid.

It looks like most has us on the outside of the bubble looking in.  We still have a chance to play our way in but it will probably take a very good finish.  Unfortunatly we dont really have any "good wins" left on our schedule unless we meet up with Indiana in the Big 10 tourny.  A sweep this weekend would be nice.

True but they have beaten some very good teams at neutral sites so that should help.

The bats got going finally

Hopefully Bummer can bounce back after last week.  Winning a series is always the goal but a sweep would take some of the sting away from last weekend.  Not sure we get any midweek games this week.  Might be a good thing for the Skers as a loss to Creighton or UNO hurts and a win doesnt do much for us.  GBR
