If this has already gotten around here, feel free to ignore this.

But I saw this article on the huskers.com website, which talked about Nebraska's being part of the Charleston Classic gets us in other tournaments for the next two years:

"Miles told me Charleston is Part One of a three-year Husker Triple Play for ESPN. Next year, Nebraska will play in a tournament in Hawaii. “It’ll be a Blue Christmas for us because we’ll play the last game of that tournament on December 24th,” Miles said before adding that the Huskers also have committed to an ESPN-sponsored tournament in Anaheim in 2015."

Two thoughts and a question:

1. I love that Miles is upping our schedule and getting us in some of these tournaments.  With the way I see our team improving, this will be vital for coming years and getting us the SOS and win opportunities for the tourney.

2. I love that these tourneys have national coverage on ESPN, something big for our non-conference schedule which is normally a sporadic game on BTN here or there.  Greater coverage equals more recruits knowing Nebraska (or at least not thinking Nebraska = football).

Q.: Wasn't there a limit on how many tournaments you could participate in at some point? Is that rule gone now?

I hear there is this cool tournament that plays in March that invites all the best teams in the country.  It has 68 teams in it.  Has four letters in it... I can't recall what they are....  Do you suppose we could get invited to that one? <_<

A trip to Madison Square Garden this year wouldn't be so bad either.
