Thanks for the updates....from what you have seen as I'm unable to watch.  How in your opinion will we match up with them?  I know it will be a tough game, but do you feel we match up well with them?

Just at first glance, I'd say we'll need our improved athleticism - UMass loves to play above the rim - if we play like we did vs FGCU with some discipline, we can hang with them I think - it definitely won't be a complete mismatch like it may have been the past few years, but UMass is good - I'm glad it's a neutral site game, as they do seem to be an emotionally fueled team

92-90 final UMass - good news for NU's RPI!   Fun game to watch, but ESPN/FOX/BTN/etc are going to need to adjust their broadcasting windows I think from 2 hours to 2:15 if all of these FTs and foul calls continue.

LSU wound up with 29 fouls, 18 were in the first half. UMass finished with 25. I don't recall their first half total but it was at least 13.

I'm not watching too closely, but from what I've seen they're solid.  They have a very talented guard who can drive and hit the three (Kilpatrick, I think).  Their bigs are..big.  Leslee Smith body types.  They rebound well.

No joke. Cincy should be treated like a B1G team when it comes down to it. I'm impressed so far.

They also played 11 guys in the first half.  Not sure on how many minutes but  four of those six off the bench  contributed some rebounding and a few points.

Damn.  First loss of the year for the Big 10.  Likely won't end up being a bad one.  Bucknell usually pretty solid.  

 

Side not question.  Not sure where to ask so I will here.  UNO playing incredibly well in the early going.  I pull for them being an Omaha guy that went to some post grad school there.  When are they eligible to dance if they win their tourney?
