Not sure, but when they were the house band at Whiskey a Go Go, they opened for "Them", a band featuring lead singer Van Morrison (no relation to Jim) during their two week stand from May 30th to June 18th, 1966.

Pat Benatar is one of my all-time favorite 80s female singers from Long Island, New York.  In fact, I can't think of a single 80s female singer from Long Island, New York that I like better than Pat Benatar.
