There's already talks that CBC > NIT. So we'll see.

 

If they can successfully steal teams away from the NIT, then that officially managed NCAA little tournament becomes a mid-major tournament.

Apparently there's an NIL incentive tied into this tournament. No one knows what the incentive is though. If it goes to our collective, then it's definitely something that'll make a difference

The mid season tournament in Vegas may be a similar pay out. But idk

We have NIT banners even when we lose in the first round not just for our one championship.  It's not like we have a lot of banners though so hanging one for the CBC won't take up too much room.  Just go win the thing I guess.

I'd venture to guess that winning a CBC will be a lot harder than one might think. A tournament made up of mostly P5 teams is going to be tough-- especially if there is $$$ on the line as many have mentioned/wondered. Sure, these will be P5 teams who finished mid to bottom of their leagues, but 4 games against P5 teams is a tall order.
