Water pistols and cap guns...today, that may have gotten some of the students jail time and/or expelled.

Of course streaking was also a thing.  Kid's nowadays just don't know how to have fun

I remember once a retired ophthalmologist funded some protective eyewear for the student section with Adam Woodbury coming to town under the one caveat that they consider keeping them for other activities requiring eye protection

My first game was '84 at the Bob.  We played Kansas, and lost in a close one.  I remember nothing about the game other than we were seated in the upper C's, and being awe-inspired as a youth at the size of the BDSC.  It was a full house. 

 

Unfortunately I only started following them in college, the '90-91 season, and I haven't looked back.  Being in college at the time did allow me the opportunity to play pickup games at the rec center with some of the team.  There was no Hendricks Complex back then, so if the guys wanted to get in some extra practice you might occasionally see guys like Scales,  Eric Johnson, Beau Reid, Carl Hays, Chubick, Strickland and more.  Different times.
