Cazzie22 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 A road win here is vital if we wish to remain in the top tier of the B1G. PSU is a much improved squad. Owusu and Marissa are dangerous. Hoping for a top performance from all. Red Don 1 Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 (edited) It's stupid to have two game threads going. The REFS WILL BE GARBAGE!!! Edited January 21 by Bugeaters1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 What PSU is saying about us??? Markowski is a stud. A double-double machine. Not sure we can contain her. Potts is a freaking freshman. She complements Markowski...sheesh. That Jaz girl is the real deal. Her passing and timely scoring is a match up nightmare. The rest of the Husker team can score and defend. They are literally 9 to 10 deep, day in, and day out. Even on our home court, this will be a difficult game at best. Just saying... Red Don and Neb Nets 1 1 Quote

Officials: Michael McConnell, Brian Garland, Kim Hobbs Sorry......I was trying to be a bit funny or facetious. we worry so much about how WE match up to other teams; we sometimes forget that the opposition may have a greater issue matching up to us. Gotcha, I used to have a PSU site in my bookmarks. I'm trying to find one of their sites that covers WBB. Quote

Husker22 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 we basically have no way to get a easy bucket from our guards, we just dont have any athletes. gonna need to get hot from 3 to win today and i dont know if thats possible. Cazzie22, Red Don and mwm89 1 1 1 Quote
Red Don Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Lady Lions Lead by 10 (25-36). Bury a Buzzer-Beater Trey to end the Half (Naturally) Husker Ladies are having trouble in making Treys, nor scoring well inside. 12dozen 1 Quote
redsteve Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 A zone defense may be appropriate to slow down their three's. We're leaving their shooters open too much. Lot's of game to go. Must slow down their shooters. Red Don 1 Quote
Cazzie22 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Our lack of athleticism is being exposed by the Lions. We cannot press them because it gives them easy shots. We cannot beat them off the drive. I don’t know what the answer is but we need to heat up. redsteve 1 Quote

Scouting The Penn State Lady Lions Coach Carolyn Kieger has her most talented Penn State team. PSU is ranked No. 31 in the NET rankings and carries a 12-5 overall record. Penn State features an experienced lineup with returning starters Makenna Marisa, Leilani Kapinus, Shay Ciezki and Ali Brigham, while adding Virginia graduate transfer Tay Valladay to the starting five. Grad Transfer Ashley Owusu made her Penn State debut with 18 points, five rebounds and five assists against Rutgers. She will be playing against Nebraska in her third uniform. .PSU’s 13-player roster features nine Division I transfers. Penn State owns one of the most explosive offenses in the Big Ten, averaging 87.2 points per game while hitting 50.9 percent of its field goals and a blistering 41.5 percent of its threes. Quote

Cazzie22 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 We are outmatched by the Lions. We have no answers at either end. Hope we can keep it under 30. Quote
twister31 Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 The solution happens in the off-season. *MUST* change philosophy on recruiting and the portal. If you're not actively trying to bring in players who can put starters on bench, you're not really doing your job imo. Quote
Huskerfanzzz Posted January 21 Report Posted January 21 Some timely threes from Jazz! I have no idea why Darian White is not in the game right now though. Hake is a better shooter, but she’s not doing much tonight, and her ball handling and defense are weaker in my opinion. Pitts should be in as well, we have seen her score a lot of points in a small amount of time, and we know she can rebound, and that isn’t something Kendall Coley is known for. I continue to be confused by the substitutions. Cazzie22 1 Quote
