All About the Corn Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 Yes Allison will have two more years with her redshirt this year. But she will be a leader (captain??) next year along with Alexis as it will be year 4 at Nebraska. Quote
All About the Corn Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 Anyone hear on her recovery? Hoping she is back in the gym to a degree. Quote

Like everyone on here, I’m hoping she can return and physically be the player she was 2 years ago before this horrible luck befell her. At least she doesn’t have a 3rd knee that could blow out next season! mwm89 and Tom Jones 2 Quote
All About the Corn Posted May 1 Report Posted May 1 I am hoping she can be injury free for her last two years. We will need her leadership on and off the court. mwm89 and Cazzie22 2 Quote
redsteve Posted May 24 Report Posted May 24 (edited) Another new article on Weidner's return. Interesting note is that if there's an ACL injury on one knee.... Females who receive ACL reconstruction surgery are six times more likely to injure their opposite knee within 24 months after the surgery than someone who never tore an ACL. https://www.on3.com/teams/nebraska-cornhuskers/news/nebraska-guard-allison-weidner-returns-to-basketball-after-back-to-back-acls/ Edited May 24 by redsteve Cazzie22 and mwm89 1 1 Quote

Tom Jones Posted June 7 Report Posted June 7 thank you, Papa. Until seeing those hi-lines just now my memory of good she was had actually gone a bit stale. Now I am hyped again Cazzie22 1 Quote
HUD Posted June 7 Report Posted June 7 During her full freshman season she really displayed her athleticism. She set the WBB vertical jump record and showed her speed on the court. Then off to a great second year until the injury caused by the stupid location of a camera man on a cart under the basket. I hope and pray that she gets back a majority of her skills and continues to improve and display her leadership and 3 point shooting. Cazzie22 1 Quote

Huskerpapa Posted June 8 Report Posted June 8 3 hours ago, fred1212 said: what is the WBB vertical jump record? Actually...Peaches James (softball) has the women's vertical jump record at 31 inches. For basketball Nicea Eliely holds the record at 24.5 inches. Now, the source of this information is from Nebraska Power, and I'm uncertain on when it was last updated. fred1212 1 Quote
HUD Posted June 8 Report Posted June 8 My info was Allison in a video with her teammates cheering her on during her freshman season. I didn't ever read about the height. Could be wrong but I thought they said it was a record. Quote
