Hopefully we've learned our lesson about taking teams lightly.  This is 4 straight against teams 200+ in the RPI this week.  Teams that make regionals as an at large don'e lose games this week.

Just hit a ball in the air to left field and you will have a home run tonight.  There is no way that ball should have been gone.  It was a routine fly to left that left the yard for Omaha.

Why do we have to face Cy Young tonight?  Looking up junk ball pitchers in the dictionary,  and his picture shows up.

I am trying to figure out why the University of Nebraska has trouble winning games against the other D I programs in this state?  We have trouble with both the men’s and women’s teams.  Is it because maybe they are better, do they get more excited about this because they have more home grown kids?  It just seems we don’t even play well against them.  And I am talking the men’s and women’s teams. SIGH

Well the hustle down the line helped us stay alive.

Why did Fisher not try for 2nd on the 1st pitch when the pitcher was in the wind up.  Maybe he balks, and we win.

Omaha gets the go ahead run on an infield single off the baserunner, and a sac fly.

I admire Bolt for not getting thrown out of the game in the top of the 10th.  Rough night.  We didn't play very well the 1st few innings, and didn't deserve to win.  But, to get screwed like that in the 10th, when the umps don't even watch it, when it obviously hit the baserunner was plain stupid.

How can hitting a runner with a batted ball not reviewable?

Bolt makes some bone headed coaching decisions. That probably puts a nail in the coffin for an at large bid, barring a miracle.

A couple things.  We kind of had some bad luck.  We should still be able to beat Omaha even with the bad luck.  We had some hard hit balls right at Omaha fielders.  I like the effort from Fisher, but no chance should he have dove for that ball in the 1st.  Play it on a hop and keep it in front of you.  We lose by 1 run.  Right there is the 1 run.  Matthews throws a DP ball into RF to end the 2nd.  Another Mav run scores.  2 runs that should not have happened.  The difference in the game, just making 2 routine plays.

Another play is Burnham not trying to score on the FC.  Make them make a play.  He probably gets out, but the 1B falls down and starts wanting a review.  Maybe we steal the winning run.

Don't really want to say we put ourselves in a "must win" situation already... but we put ourselves in a "must sweep" situation this weekend.

I likewise am stunned.  I don't know if I'm more stunned it's not reviewable or the umpire didn't see it.  The ball changes direction.

This whole week was a must win situation that was blown. We are now in a "must win" every game to get an at large bid.
