The HR streak ends at 12 games.  Time to start a new one tomorrow.

Impressive to say the least… 9-1 in our last 10 with a win over a top 10 team.

Our offense is dangerous and our Friday/Saturday guys can really get it going.  We’ll be a tough series out for just about anyone.

San Diego would beg to differ... ☺️ but, seriously, that opening series feels like a million years ago with how they've battled in this 9-1 stretch.

Speaking of— they go for a rubber match with TCU tomorrow!

No game today - too cold.

Great 4-0 week. To have our top guys in the order go 0-fer on Saturday and still score 12 runs is extremely impressive. We have such a deep lineup, great mix of righties and lefties. This offense is far better than I thought I would be.

And the top 2 in the rotation are pitching great. You can win a lot of games with two horses going Friday and Saturday. It's unfortunate Garza doesn't get to start today to see if he can be the answer on Sundays, but other than that, a great week.

Another chance for a big week next week, although Nicholls St is a bit better than Illinois St. Shouldn't have any problem playing Tuesday's game with Omaha, but the weekend weather looks dicey again. Sunday & Monday look like the best weather days, so maybe they'll push the series back (supposed to be Thurs-Sun). Or maybe we just go down there & play. Need to get these games in before B1G play starts.

It’s not even as cold as yesterday though?

It says the wind chill is 19 today.  I think yesterday it was 32.  I believe the Wind Chill has to be above 28 to play.

Much colder than Friday and yesterday.    Was 31 and "feels like" of 19 at the game starting time.  Hate to miss a game but this decision was correct (and mandated by rule).

Hearing some rumors we might try to meet Nicholls at a neutral site so each team could bus - sounds like they're exploring every avenue. Changing flight plans when flying commercial this close to the actual flight is extremely difficult and expensive, which makes major schedule changes tough for baseball.

Fort Smith, Arkansas, is roughly 500 mi. from Lincoln and about 560 mi. from Thibodaux, Louisiana. They have several baseball facilities, including Univ. of Ark.-Fort Smith. If my memory serves me correctly, I think Doc Sadler coached at UAFS. No idea if that Arky locale would be the spot to meet, but it does seem plausible.

Just checked UAFS baseball schedule, they will be playing a series in Kingsville, Texas, next weekend, which to me makes this seem even more plausible that NU and Nicholls could meet up in Fort Smith, AR, for a 4-games series.
