But, I admit, the same thought crossed my mind. Without Knuckles and possibly Hames, the volleyball teams chance of making Omaha are slim. But never count a John Cook team out. 12dozen and whoopdeedoo 2 Quote
All About the Corn Posted November 28, 2022 Report Posted November 28, 2022 The Volleyball team got a break with a 2 seed in the the Louisville regional so they chances are better for making it to Omaha. Was thinking we would get with Texas, or Wisconsin. NUtball and whoopdeedoo 2 Quote

WBB can wait another week or two for Maggie. Montana_85 F and whoopdeedoo 2 Quote
whoopdeedoo Posted November 28, 2022 Report Posted November 28, 2022 i had been thinking the huskers might be seeing mm a bit earlier than expected. however, now i think they have a better shot at reaching the final four. however, never know at this time of year. i'd be kinda interested to know about her decision to come out a year early. understand it is her decision, but, wonder if some were trying to talk her out of it. hate to use the "wasted year" phrase.......but, does make a person wonder. i still think she is a great athlete and odds are she is going to be just fine. Huskerpapa Posted November 28, 2022 Report Posted November 28, 2022 At this point, I think it would a remarkable feat to make it to Omaha. That said, Cook has the chops to make it happen. NUtball, Montana_85 F and MontanaHusker 3 Quote
Montana_85 F Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 Is there highlights of the game anywhere? I got to listen to it on the radio while at work but I'd really like to see the Jaz Shelly OT Extravaganza you know? Quote

But for the life of me, I don't know where I saw it. I will post it if I find it. Quote

We lost one of the best back line players in the country due to injury. Overcoming an injury such as that, late in the season, would make a final four run remarkable in my book. But that is solely my humble opinion that may, or may not be shared by others. Team continuity and chemistry can be fickle. I compare it to a simple chair. With all four legs it is strong and stable. Lose one of the legs and it becomes much less stable and unless it is is properly manipulated and stabilized, will fail. Cook and his staff are the best of the best. If anyone can find the stabilization, it is that bunch. But again, it would be a remarkable feat. Red Don, MontanaHusker, HUD and 3 others 6 Quote

He'll need to find the right one, and make the repairs, but he at least has the chair parts on hand. Montana_85 F and whoopdeedoo 2 Quote

We lost a server and defensive specialist in Knuckles. Hames can serve and dig well. Evans can't play front row at all. He's trying to fill with an outside hitter playing back row (Batenhorst), and doesn't bode well against elite 8 and better competition. He's missing extra back row chair parts this year. hoop_head, NUtball and Huskerpapa 3 Quote
Montana_85 F Posted November 30, 2022 Report Posted November 30, 2022 Good experience for Ally going into next year though you gotta think. It's truly an embarrassment of riches we get to suffer through with that team lol. GBR! Quote
