Alexis Markowski makes the first team and Nebraska is picked 5th.  Iowa is the choice.  Indiana with Berger and Holmes has two as does Iowa with Clarke and Czinano.  A little surprised Jaz wasn’t selected but here is plenty of talent in the league.

'hoopla' is very similar to the Big Ten preseason polls...

although, he stated with Haiby gone for the season, he would move Michigan into that 5th spot and drop the Huskers to 6th.

"The coaches and media agreed with the same 10 players for this list. I agree with 8 of those 10 picks, with my new entries having asterisks (*)."

Here’s my list:

  1. Caitlin Clark, Iowa — Player of the Year

  2. Mackenzie Holmes, Indiana

  3. Monika Czinano, Iowa

  4. Jacy Sheldon, Ohio State

  5. Grace Berger, Indiana

  6. Jaz Shelley, Nebraska*

  7. Taylor Mikesell, Ohio State

  8. Makenna Marisa, Penn State

  9. Leigha Brown, Michigan

  10. Sara Scalia, Indiana*

Just missed: Alexis Markowski, Nebraska | Diamond Miller, Maryland | Emily Kiser, Michigan | McKenna Warnock, Iowa | Maddie Nolan, Michigan

i have never heard of WER.

Callin Hake made the freshman watch list.......however, how this report did not add minnesota's mara braun to its freshman watch list is rather stunning. i would have her in the running for BigTen FOY (preseason, anyway).

Two Huskers on Freshman "watch" list

Callin Hake, Nebraska
Maggie Mendelson, Nebraska

What little I've seen on Hake, she looks real promising. May be be a nice surprise this upcomming season.

Let's hope so!  Anything to make the team that much better.
