That call in the Maryland game was the WORST call I have seen in my life.  The runner slides into 2nd base with 2 outs and the 2nd basemen has the ball, it gets knocked out of his glove, the fielder's hand is no where near the glove.  The ump calls him out because he was trying to transfer the ball.  It takes a run away from Maryland, as the runner was tagged before the runner crossed the plate.

You must not be very old there are soooo many bad calls that it hurts to think about them.  But hey, that is the beauty of baseball.

NU up 2-0, top of the 6th.  Hroch pitching a gem of a game (knock on wood).

2-0 Huskers top of 6. we got homered in the 5th. Hallmark was called out at first for running out of the base line after the catcher threw it over the head of  the firstbaseman . but Hallmark stayed on the line.

Truly a crying shame that Hroch didn't get the complete game shutout,  Baseball can be cruel sometimes.  I'm sure he would say he's just glad we got the W.  We have taken both from IU and have won the pod.  Outstanding performances by Big Red!!  GBR

A win tomorrow and a Michigan loss we clinch.

Seven straight victories by the Big Red. Huskers have really rebounded well from that Rutgers series in Lincoln.

 

NU leads the Big Ten at 28-11, while Michigan is 2nd at 26-14; and, it's Maryland (25-15) and Indiana (24-15) to round out the top four in the league.
