I wonder if Gunner will got some at bats.  Roskam and Everitt are 4 - 30 combined.  Roskam has improved his defense, and Everitt is very good defensively.

The wind giveth and the wind taketh.   Hroch should probably be out of the inning.  But, a routine fly to left hits the wall for a triple.  Still have a 5 run lead, 8 - 3 lead in the bottom of the 5th.

Make it 8 - 5 with 1 out.

Of course, we get the bats going and the pitching starts faltering.  8 runs might not do it today.

We could learn a lesson from Iowa.  We've had every batter this inning at 1 - 2 or 0 - 2 and they keep fouling off pitches and eventually walk or put the ball in play, good things have happened for them.

Chick with an opposite field home run.  I would say bomb, but it looked like a routine fly to left that left the field.

Not good baserunning.  I like being aggressive, but got to be smart.  The catcher could have kept the ball and tagged Acker, if he had to.  

 

10- 8 going to the bottom of the 8th.

I am guessing 7 runs might not be enough today.  The game is 1 hour old, and we are in the bottom of the 2nd.  This game might be going on awhile.
